Christ's Body Ministries serves several purposes: In part, we feed, cloth, and present the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ 365 days a year to the homeless in the Denver Metro Area. In part, we are a catalyst for the Body of Christ in the greater Denver Region to come to the downtown area and serve "the least of these," (Matthew 25:40). In part, we host a respite program for the Denver Road Home, which at this location contains five beds for people needing temporary respite from living on the streets. In everything, we seek to bring honor and glory to our Lord Jesus Christ by being his tangible instruments of transformation on the streets of downtown Denver.

The Denver Police Orphans’ Fund began in 1948 when Officer Joe Hale, an orphan himself, along with Officers Jerry Mangan and Warren Terry provided Christmas gifts to children of deceased officers. Their initial intention was to remind the children they were still part of the Denver Police family. In 1973 the Denver Police Orphans’ Fund was incorporated and by 1976 achieved status as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charity organization which focuses on education. The mission of the Fund is to support the advanced education of children of deceased police officers who've dedicated their lives to serving and protecting the citizens of Denver. What makes the Denver Police Orphans’ Fund remarkable is it’s almost entirely funded by the officers themselves. The Fund is managed by a Board of Directors of active police officers, in addition to professional financial and tax advisors, who generously donate their services. The Fund has made it possible for dozens and dozens of children of fallen and deceased Denver Police Officers to overcome financial adversity and achieve their educational goals of undergraduate degrees or professional certifications.
