The Manhattan Childrens Center provides scientifically-based world class treatment and education to children, ages 3 to 18, utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Our goal is to offer every child an opportunity to enjoy a quality of life and emerge as a functioning member of society. As each child is unique, we provide individualized instruction according to his or her developmental abilities. This program’s interdisciplinary model incorporates ABA, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, as well as sensory integration, natural environment training and family support. The Manhattan Childrens Center provides a comprehensive educational approach for children with autism spectrum disorder utilizing scientific research-based interventions that are effective based on years of experience on our other campus. The Childrens Center Brooklyn facility was established in 1996 and has served over 1,500 children including those with PDD and autism. We are a partner in research and service activities with Columbia University, Teachers College faculty and students. Our caring professionals focus on each student to enhance and foster his or her maximum potential. We also support our parents and families in helping them to understand the special needs of these children. Families become an equal partner with us in the educational process to help all children achieve their full potential.

Friendly, international staff Safe and secure storage area (lockers are also available) Internet and possibilities to use the computer We provide free sheets for your bed Full kitchen and common lounge with TV and public phones House phones on each dormitory floor allows guests to receive calls from 9am to 11pm. Messages are posted on the notice board, if guests receive calls when they are out. Guests have access to two public phones in the common lounge area to make outgoing calls.

Hands On! A Musical Experience offers age-appropriate music classes for children ages 4 months to 5 years using a specially formatted, instrument-based music curriculum. Our classes introduce children to musical concepts, instruments and activities that enhance other learning such as the acquisition of language, listening skills, auditory discrimination, social understanding and personal discovery. Hands On! classes are designed to include music, story, movement and the exploration of various musical instruments that children can see and touch.

The Community Meditation Center is located on Manhattan’s upper west side in New York City. IHDF-NY's approach is unique in that it sponsors entire grade levels of 50-100 students in under-resourced public schools or housing developments, and works with the "Dreamers" from early elementary school all the way through high school. Upon high school graduation, each Dreamer receives guaranteed tuition assistance for higher education. “I Have A Dream” Foundation, New York Metro Area programs operate year-round. Programming is designed to enhance Dreamers’ academic performance and social skills, and provide Dreamers with new experiences. In order to achieve this, activities include the following over the life span of the program, as appropriate to the Dreamers’ ages, interests, and needs. River Park Nursery School is an Upper West Side parent co-op. It was founded by UWS parents seeking an early childhood experience that would reflect the diversity of the creative and integrated neighborhood. That is still in existence today. Parents seeking involvement with their child's Pre k or nursery school experience are very pleased with the cooperative, creative and diverse aspects of this school. We accept families on a first come first serve basis. We do not choose families, families choose us. We feel the choice should be that of the parents. RPNS has a huge sunlit indoor space with multiple areas for children to explore their own interests. It has a private block long outdoor playground with varied large motor activities for children to engage in.
