Lincoln Park has beautiful views, beaches, trees, trails, play area, picnic shelters and tables, and Colman Pool -- the only salt water public swimming pool in Seattle. (The pool is only open during the summer months.)
All of our classes our geared towards learning so beginners are always welcome. We offer a non-judgmental and encouraging environment for you to cultivate your own artistic creation. Our talented and knowledgeable Instructor will guide you through each project and offer any tips if needed along the way. It's super easy to get started as all art supplies are provided. Nuestra área de acción es la distribución de estos juegos en todos los países de Latino-américa, sin embargo el grupo Devir cuenta con oficinas específicas para países estratégicos como en Brasil, Chile y México. Nuestros juegos son mucho más que un pasatiempo, son un estilo de vida donde el juego es parte de lo cotidiano, es una plataforma donde cualquier persona puede interactuar con otras y desarrollar todas sus capacidades intelectuales en igualdad de condiciones y, mejor aún, de manera lúdica. I grew up on the peninsula where weekends were spent hiking and fishing and every day after school, I was up in a tree or on the beach. I learned the names of the native plants, harvested shellfish, or made forts in the woods. After retiring from teaching young children for 25 year, I am grateful to have the opportunity and time to create from my heart. I learn, work and fire at Jefferson Community Center on Beacon Hill and my husband recently built a studio at our home from up-cycled and found pieces – I call it the Beachwood Studio. Now I can create pieces from home too. My work with clay reflects my lifelong love of the outdoors here in the Pacific Northwest. An interest of mine is to share respect, knowledge and appreciation of the native plants and cycles that surround us. The rock molded vessels I make remind me of the water cycle as it trickles over and through plants, down streams made of rock and silt and clay to the sound. Each piece is hand built and one of a kind. There are many steps involved in the process. I find that “getting to know” clay is a great pleasure! After it comes out of the bag, it begins to dry and during each stage of dryness, there are different opportunities and challenges to get it to mold to your vision. Before glazing, I use slips, under glazes and stains to enhance the texture and define the features. All my pottery is food safe and can be washed in the dishwasher; though you’ll want to hand wash some pieces.

Our Mission Earthrise Choir performs secular and sacro-secular choral works from the Western choral tradition that elucidate the human experience and celebrate life in all of its beauty and complexity. We sing repertoire from the traditional choral music cannon as well as jazz and Latin music. We are made up of experienced choral singers who read music or are able to learn parts quickly. Our Vision •To explore universal themes of the human experience such as love, service, peace, community, freedom of thought, connectivity of all living things, and respect for the inherent worth and dignity of all by presenting music inspired by works of the Western literary tradition •To perform choral music that challenges the intellect as well as the heart; music that is transformative as well as emotionally satisfying •To present concerts that push the envelope of traditional choral music expectations •To commission new choral works that underscore our values •To become an influential choral ensemble, both in our community and the broader world of music Earthrise Chamber Choir is sponsored by the Washington State nonprofit arts corporation Expressive Music and Theater Arts which is a Partner Artist project of Shunpike, a 501(C)(3) arts service organization. Earthrise Chamber Choir is a resident ensemble at Westside Unitarian Universalist Congregation. There is no set fee but members and are expected to participate in fundraising projects.
Fauntleroy Children’s Center (FCC) is a non-profit early childhood development and education center located in the heart of the Fauntleroy neighborhood in West Seattle. We are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), and offer full-time, part-time and drop-in programs for children from age one month to 12 years, including a preschool program for ages three to five, and a before and after care program for school-aged children.
Jeoff Burger and Myung Haugen are nationally trained and certified, and have years of professional experience helping clients achieve their fitness and wellness goals. They ‘make every drop count’, with a training program customized for each client. SWEAT studio is located in West Seattle’s Fauntleroy neighborhood, in the historic Fauntleroy Schoolhouse. It is fully equipped with state of the art equipment, and the classic old schoolhouse windows bring good light and good energy into the space.
