Jubilee Church is passionate about God, his greatness and his overwhelming love for others.
Therefore, we exist not for our purposes and plans, but for God’s mission to draw every person and every race into a community that reflects his brilliant beauty and love. We exist for the purpose of connecting people to Jesus, resulting in God-honoring life change.
Jubilee is a multi-location church that currently meets in St. Louis City, Washington and the Lake of the Ozarks.
Oasis is helping refugees from war-torn countries that have relocated to St. Louis, Missouri. Many have lost family and friends as a result of war or disease. They come with fears, grief and broken hearts. When they escape the terror of the war they are sent to a refugee camp, sometimes without electricity, water, decent shelter, or education. Most refugees have lived in the camps for as many as 15 years (usually in a country other than their home country). When they arrive in St. Louis the U.S. Government provides three month's rent and utilities. During this time they must find a job, set up transportation, and learn English in addition to learning the customs and laws of a completely new country.
We want to help these families get started in practical ways with furniture, clothes, and classes to help them with English and to learn skills to gain employment; most importantly to simply be their friend. We want to welcome them to St. Louis and the United States
At Oak Hill Chapel we are all about family and community. We feel that one way we can serve God is to help in the supporting of good Christian family values friendships and relationships. Some of the best ways to foster family and friendships is to come together and connect with like minded people.
Oak Hill Chapel has something for everyone! We welcome everyone from all walks of life into our community, and would love to meet you.
Saint Louis is a city of broad diversity. The many languages spoken in South St. Louis and the booming ethnic restaurant industry are signs of the blessings newcomers bring. Each year, the city welcomes close to 4000 new immigrant, refugee, and transient residents. St Louis is second in the nation in the ratio of foreign born to native born citizens. In the midst of such extraordinary diversity, many local churches are neither aware of nor prepared to meet this people’s unique range of needs. The joyful calling of the body of Christ is to unite across national borders and personal tension. Rise Together Ministries seeks to enable our appendage of the body of Christ to join with the new members that have come into our midst. Through an array of programs, this group bridges the difficult gaps that refugees face in order to acclimate to American life. Since its founding in 2006 by Worku Geremew, an Ethiopian immigrant, Rise Together Ministries has been working steadily to improve the lives of our new neighbors.
Newday Midwest is an annual summer gathering of youth groups from around the Midwest region within the Newfrontiers USA family of churches. We spend nearly a full week each summer serving a city, making friends, and (most importantly) encountering Jesus. This year, we are serving Joplin, MO in an effort to help continue rebuilding the city after a devastating EF-5 tornado hit in May of 2011. Last year, we saw fantastic growth in our youth, and are excited to return for another week of impact.
We exist to provide a religious education to the children of the parishes of the South City Deanery. Our classes meet on Monday nights, please give us a call if you wish to register your child or have any other questions.
