Our students, which number about 250 at both the undergraduate and graduate level, enjoy dedicated, personal guidance from our faculty. Our student body is diverse, our research spans experimental and theoretical studies of many fundamental areas of electrical engineering, and we enjoy strong partnerships throughout industry and with prominent national laboratories and federal agencies. Research experiences are integral to the education of not only our graduate students, but also for undergraduates through our Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program and similar activities. We also value the multi-disciplinary opportunities afforded by electrical engineering. As a student, you may find yourself working with engineers in other academic departments, marine scientists, medical doctors, chemists, biologists or physicists. Together with our dedicated faculty and excellent facilities, these exciting opportunities have helped us to attract top students to our department and prepare them for enriching careers.

REAL, The Relationship Equality and Anti-violence League is a special project of the USF Center for Victim Advocacy and Violence Prevention designed to provide leadership opportunities for students to become allies and peer educators in sexual and relationship violence prevention. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® and Take Back the Night are two of our meaningful and engaging signature events. In addition, our Got Consent? campaign is ongoing and seen everywhere on campus. REAL also offers the REAL Deal, a multi-media, pop-culture presentation taught by peer educators. The REAL Deal develops active bystander intervention skills for prevention, increases awareness, and reduces risk. We welcome people of all gender identities and sexual orientations.

Currently, the WIN Foundation Board of Directors is a diversified group of women from unique backgrounds who are actively involved in growing our organization. We have doubled our membership in the last two months and increased our efforts in awareness, with several upcoming events on campus. This year, we have designed a website, a Facebook page, and brochures to help with marketing efforts. We have received A&S Student Government funding for the past two semesters, which allows us to reach out to students and contribute more donations to local shelters. Kaplan Test Prep & Admissions has also agreed to become our sponsor, allowing us to raise even more money for our cause. Currently, we are collaborating with other student organizations such as Delta Delta Delta, Navigators, and the Black Student Union. Primarily, we support The Spring of Tampa Bay, but have also donated to Alpha House and others.

The American Marketing Association (AMA) is the largest marketing association in North America. It is a professional association for individuals and organizations involved in the practice, teaching and study of marketing worldwide. It is also the source that marketers turn to every day for information/resources, education/training and professional networking. AMA members are connected to a network of experienced marketers 30,000+ strong and include leading marketing academics, researchers and practitioners from every industry.

This is a national ideas competition for urban public spaces and waterfront located in downtown Tampa. The competition is funded in part by a National Endowment for the Arts Grant-Access to Artistic Excellence with the intent of acquiring quality design and innovation, in addition to the promotion of design excellence to the general public of Tampa. However, more funding is necessary for the success of this project. Please contact [email protected] if you would like to help support this initiative or if you know of potential donors. It is projected that this initial ideas competition will serve as a catalyst for ensuing development and momentum for the project, leading to an actual request for proposal for the project by the City.

Phi Eta Sigma is a national honor society that encourages and recognizes high scholastic achievement among first year students. Phi Eta Sigma is the third most senior member of the Association of College Honor Societies and has chapters at over 350 universities across the country. Those elected to membership include those who have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale at the end of any first year, full-time curricular semester, provided they have carried a normal academic load (at least 12 credit hours) acceptable toward a bachelor’s degree and rank in the upper 20 percent of their class.

In October 1998, Delta Epsilon Psi became the first South Asian Service Fraternity in the southern region of the USA. D.E.Psi prides itself on aiding individuals reach their potential in the process of serving the needs of our community. As members, Brothers recognize and understand the power of unity among South Asians. Delta Epsilon Psi means more to us then simply being another organization or "club". Our fraternity is a family. Together we are driven to instill brotherhood, discipline, and commitment within our members through various service and social activities. We aim to provide a basic support network for members to succeed academically, to unite members with the community, to transcend religious and regional barriers within our community, and to create an awareness of South Asian needs and problems to the community. Our goal is for our members to develop self-confidence, leadership qualities, social skills, and a belief in the potential and strengths of their abilities. One of the best qualities of Delta Epsilon Psi is the diversity of our members. We have successfully molded together the different nationalities, cultures, and religions into an active group of influential students. Our eclectic collection of individuals and personalities gives Delta Epsilon Psi a very unique perspective on the various issues and problems facing our society today.

Mission Statement: The College of The Arts Council serves to link CoTA students to their college, acting as a bridge between the students, student government, dean, and faculty of the College of The Arts. We are the primary representatives, advocates, and liasons to the CoTA community, aiming to open channels of communication with all parties involved in the College. Our mission is as follows: to gather and express student opinions, actively represent student views, appropriately address student concerns, and provide a forum for the student body, as well as to create and continue social traditions and programs designed to foster creativeness within the entire CoTA population.

Applicants will be contacted regarding their application on a rolling basis and should expect to be contacted by August 1st, 2015 at the very latest. Applicants should expect to be contacted for an interview if they are selected as a semi-finalist. Interviews will preferably be held in-person, though accommodations may be made for those that cannot be in the Tampa area before the Fall 2015 term move-in dates. From all applicants, 20 finalists will be selected and invited to attend the Balanced Man Scholarship Ceremony at the end of August. Finalists interviews will be held prior to this event. At the Balanced Man Scholarship Ceremony, along with a catered reception and presentations from noteworthy keynote speakers, we will be awarding four finalists with Balanced Man Scholarships, while recognizing all finalists with certificates of achievement. Top scholarship awards will be gifted as written below. 1st place: $800 and plaque 2nd place: $500 and plaque 3rd place: $400 and plaque 4th place: $300 and plaque The Balanced Man Scholarship at the University of South Florida is sponsored by Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity Florida Iota RLC Chapter at the University of South Florida in conjunction with the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity Florida Iota Alumni and Volunteer Corporation. Applicants, finalists, and recipients are in no way required to join Sigma Phi Epsilon as part of their participation in the Balanced Man Scholarship.

Founded in 1856, Theta Chi Fraternity is a successful men's collegiate fraternity with over 160,000 initiated members and is a leader in the fraternal movement. Throughout our more than 155-year history, we have developed lasting relationships with the colleges and universities we serve. To put it plainly, Theta Chi puts an emphasis on community service. This is implemented through our philosophy of The Helping Hand. This way of life teaches us to be there for all those in need, especially our brothers. In addition, as brothers of Theta Chi Fraternity, we believe in the primacy of alma mater. The academic journey of our brothers is our greatest concern and we continue to strive for excellence. It is by this passion that we, at USF, have risen to the position of second highest G.P.A. on campus in the first year after obtaining our charter. Finally, there is the experience of brotherhood. There are few words to describe this trait, common to most all societies in Greek life. Theta Chi encourages the building of brotherhood, the development of true friendship, and, through these relationships, the growth of the individual.
