Since I was 10 years old I can remember my Mother crafting. Although I helped her with ceramics and watched her sew embroidery and many, many different things, I myself did not start crafting until 1988. I went through many different crafts trying to find my niche. I remember having my first booth in 1992. It wasn't very successful. In 1993 I was introduced to a scroll saw. I had no idea what it was or what it did. I quickly learned how to cut wood and was loving it. I did my first craft show in 1994 and my success was growing. by 1997 I quit my full time job to do woodwork full time.At that time I was selling at several shows and wholesale to one business. Then in December of 1998 I became pregnant and was somewhat fearful of breathing to much sawdust. So one day I saw a pattern for a stitchery and I thought "I can do that". Remembering what my Mother taught me when I was 15, I began a new craft and traded my scroll saw for a sewing machine (the one I had since I was 15). I adapted to stitching with Madison in my lap and while riding in the car. In 2001 after I was successfully stitching full time I "ate crow" and thanked my Mother for the craft she taught me when I was 15. Fast forward to 2015, I am now a single parent of a 15 year old daughter. Once again I am doing my craft full time, but, taking it from a hobby to a business.
