The Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management (known as simply Hilton College) is one of 12 academic colleges at the University of Houston. The college offers two degree programs: a Bachelor of Science in Hotel & Restaurant Management and a Master of Science in Hospitality Management. Hilton College has been ranked among the top hospitality programs in the U.S.Historythumb Hilton College was founded in 1969, when James C. Taylor, who would become the first dean, presented Eric and Barron Hilton—sons of Conrad Hilton—with plans to build a hospitality school at the University of Houston. When they presented the plans to their father, Conrad Hilton contributed $1.5 million for the completion of the project. Classes began at Hilton College on Sept. 16, 1969, with 39 students and three professors. Taylor was named the first Dean.The first class—consisting of eight students, most of whom began their hospitality studies elsewhere at UH—graduated from Hilton College in 1971.In 1975, a new Hilton College facility opened, which included the Hilton University of Houston Hotel and Conference Center.In 1983, the Hilton Foundation gave the college a $21.3-million grant to expand its facilities and increase endowment and operation support. That gift led to the construction of the South Wing, which opened in 1989 and added 94,000 square feet of education and meeting space to Hilton College.In 2010, the Hilton University of Houston completed a $12.5-million renovation to upgrade its facilities and create an enhanced experiential-learning environment for the students of Hilton College. It was the first major renovation to the hotel since it opened in 1975.

Cullen Performance Hall is a concert hall located on the campus of the University of Houston in Houston, Texas. The hall, the eastern half of the E. Cullen Building, was named in honor of Ezekiel W. Cullen, a former congressman for the Republic of Texas. The facility seats 1547, and hosts music, opera, dance, theatrical events, and public lectures. Opening in 1950, the facility was designed by Alfred C. Finn.

OA offers adventure trips, an indoor climbing wall, equipment rental, and educational classes focused on teaching the basic skills of many outdoor pursuits. Call us or, better yet, come by and check us out! SIGNING UP FOR OA TRIPS: participants must pay at CRWC Member Services Desk AND bring their receipt to the OA office (within 72 hours of paying for the trip) to finish filling out trip paperwork. You are NOT signed up for the trip unless you visit the OA office to complete the paperwork. RENTING EQUIPMENT: patrons must pay for the gear at the CRWC Member Services Desk, and bring their receipt to the OA office, during office hours, the day of purchase.

University of Houston Test Prep offers courses designed by a team of standardized exam question writers and test preparation experts. Our experienced and professional instructors are highly trained and care about your success. LSAT Instructor- Doug Hord Doug Hord began teaching test prep with Bar/Bri of Texas in February, 1987. Starting with only responsibility for the Analytical Reasoning section of LSAT, he quickly became Bar/Bri's national make-up instructor (video), national training instructor (video), and wrote test explanations for the released test three times each year. Doug led live instruction classes for Bar/Bri in Houston, and in Waco on the Baylor campus. After Bar/Bri drew down their test prep program nationally, Doug led GMAT/GRE/LSAT classes for University of Houston – Clear Lake's in-house test prep program for ten years. Since leaving UH-CL, Doug has been leading LSAT/GMAT/GRE classrooms in Houston, Dallas and College Station on a regular basis, and has served as ready stand in for instructors who must be replaced on short notice across the region. Doug earned his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center in May, 1985, and his Bachelor of Arts in History from Western Michigan University in May, 1980. He has a tax preparation business, and is a writer of politico-economic monographs. GRE Instructor-Emily Yau Emily Yau is an experienced instructor who has worked with a broad range of students in achieving their educational goals. Since 2007, she has tutored or taught students preparing for standardized entrance exams and academic subjects. She has over five years experience with product and curriculum development at the corporate offices of Kaplan, Inc, where she was the product developer responsible for the creation and maintenance of digital and print materials for students and teachers. Emily is a graduate of Columbia University where she majored in History and Middle East Languages and Cultures. She is currently applying to medical school.
