As the Original Brewpub in Minneapolis, we have been brewing our own beer on-site since 1993.
Brothers Bar and Grill was founded in 1990 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin and since then has expanded to 18 locations in 10 Midwestern states. Over the years, we are honored to have received some of the Hospitality Industry’s top honors for our food and beverage programs. Minneapolis was our 5th location, opened in 1998, and expanded in 2011. Brothers’ ultimate mission is to provide a comprehensive entertainment venue, with an emphasis on fun, safety, and cleanliness. We will provide great service to our customers through a well trained and caring staff that pledges to get it right. We will strive to lead, not follow, and be better than we were the day before.

Our restaurant opened on Wednesday March 9th 2016, and we focus on craft beer, wine on tap, crafted cocktails, and contemporary American cuisine. Located in Mayo Clinic Square at the corner of Hennepin and 7th St, the restaurant will showcase a craft beer program of 90 local and global brews on draft, with an equally matched contemporary American food menu. Hard Mondays is an Industrial, EBM, Goth, Darkwave and Dark Electro dance night that happens every Monday night at The Saloon in downtown Minneapolis (830 Hennepin Avenue) It is 18+ and there is not a cover. Our resident DJs are DJ noise and DJ Nitrogen. Hard Monday also regularly has guest DJs. Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy and their like is the music you will hear on a Darker Monday. Also about bi-anually is Cosplay Monday, a night of dressing up like your favorite character just for the sake of dressing up- featuring guest djs.

The name Sisyphus Brewing comes from an ancient Greek myth about a man who defied the gods in order to return to the world after he had died. His punishment for this act was to push a rock up a mountain for all eternity. When the rock reached the top of the mountain, it rolled back to the bottom, forcing him to start all over again. Albert Camus, a French novelist, compared the human experience to that of Sisyphus, claiming that we find ourselves in a similar situation, toiling meaninglessly on the side of a mountain. However, lucky for us, we have delicious beers along for the ride. Sisyphus Brewing is located near downtown Minneapolis, a few blocks from the Walker Art Center/Sculpture Garden and across Lyndale Avenue from the Basilica of St. Mary. Within walking distance of Loring Park, Sisyphus Brewing will add to the already vibrant neighborhood. Each week will feature new beers and a variety of styles. Sisyphus Brewing aims to educate beer drinkers about the variety of styles, ingredients and the brewing process. In addition to a 100 seat tap room, there will also be a 100 seat theater that will feature comedy and live music.
