Delicias Bakery Café has been in business since 1988. Since the beginning, we have dedicated ourselves to our community and patrons with product quality and taste. Delicias, has been a frontrunner in innovation and quality in North Jersey for almost 25 years. We were the first to introduce the combination of European café concepts along with American bakery techniques to the Ironbound section of Newark. Since then, many have tried to imitate our business model; however, Delicias Bakery Café will always be the original and one of a kind.
Our initial vision was to introduce a place where neighborhood families could enjoy delicious pastries, coffee, espresso, ice cream and homemade custom cakes for all occasions. A vision that to this day prevails and continues as our primary mission and core focus.
Since then, we have expanded operations to include a wholesale business that tailors to the needs of hotels, private venues, catering halls, corporate functions, supermarkets and smaller shops that do not manufacture their own bakery products. Our specialties include a full range of European and South American pastries; religious occasion, birthday and wedding cakes, as well as exotic adult and novelty cakes and pastries.
A few years ago, we added a full service kitchen that serves breakfast, specialty sandwiches, and a “daily specials” menu.
