Located on two corners of Occidental Plaza, The London Plane is a one-stop haven for downtown residents, workers and travelers alike. We have two spaces (The London Plane and The Little London Plane). The large space on the northeast corner is The London Plane, part cafe, part specialty foods grocery, and part floral workshop. You can also pick up groceries & whole grains, a bundle of mint, a bottle of Italian olive oil, and a loaf of sourdough baked in our wholesale bakery located in the back of the building. If you’re headed to a party, there are flowers, soaps, etc. to share as a hostess or birthday gift. At the southeast corner of Occidental Plaza is our smaller space, The Little London Plane. We serve bar snacks and a list of wines and refreshments by the glass. Our shop section showcases beautiful housewares and gifts from local artists and artisans, as well as cook and design books, and a selection of wines by the bottle for takeaway. This space also hosts private gatherings, whether it be for business meetings or dinner parties. Delicious meals catered by our kitchen team will keep communication and creativity flowing.

Perhaps one of the first things people think of when they think of Italy is “the food”. But, take one thought deeper into the tastes of italian cooking and one can quickly fall deeply in love under the captivating smells, textures and tastes that makes lovers of italian cuisine. Love is not only in the food at Roberto’s Trattoria & Bar, it is in the setting of your table, the greeting at the door, and, of course, the meal that is placed before you. The love from Roberto and LeeAnn is everywhere! (It is, literally, in the air) And you should expect that to be so. “We expect that from every single element at our restaurant for you to experience”. We just could not have it any other way.” We like to keep things simple. If you are going to do something - do it GREAT! Our combined life experiences and view points have taught us both that behind what appears simple, comes great attention to the details, hours of care and commitment, and off-the-charts passion and enthusiasm for the thing that now looks, feels - simple! Lots of people call that hard work, but we just call it LOVE. We love dreaming, we love creating and pushing ourselves beyond the ordinary, we love giving what we can, and even more, we absolutely love knowing that while you are in our company, you are in the hands of an entire staff who loves and wants nothing more than your complete contentment and joy.
Coffeehouse and coffee shop are related terms for an establishment which primarily serves prepared coffee and other hot beverages. Café or cafe or caff may refer to a coffeehouse, bar, tea room, small and cheap restaurant, transport cafe, or other casual eating and drinking place, depending on the culture. A coffeehouse may share some of the same characteristics of a bar or restaurant, but it is different from a cafeteria. As the name suggests, coffeehouses focus on providing coffee and tea as well as light snacks. Many coffee houses in the Middle East, and in West Asian immigrant districts in the Western world, offer shisha (nargile in Turkish and Greek), flavored tobacco smoked through a hookah. Espresso bars are a type of coffeehouse that specialize in serving espresso and espresso-based drinks.
A visit to Seattle's Pike Place Market is simply not complete without also experiencing Lowell's, the "living room of the market". Here you'll find generous portions of delicious food, affordable prices, a friendly, attentive staff, full service bar and the incomparable atmosphere of the market. Three Floors of Gorgeous Water Views in the Heart of Pike Place Market! Unfortunately we do not take reservations, but with three floors and 150 seats we have a great degree of flexibility. Given our decades long unorthodox system of two different styles of service between the three floors make it impossible to orchestrate reservations; that and being in a labyrinth of the Pike Place Market which turns guests in every direction making it difficult to arrive at specified times.
The Athenian was first opened by three Greek brothers, about 1909. Starting out as a bakery and a luncheonette, it was one of the first restaurants in Seattle to be issued a liquor license, for beer, in 1933. The sign over the front door is the original one, hung there over a half century ago. From a bakery to a tavern and then to a restaurant, the Athenian’s story is typical of the growth opportunity of our country. Throughout it’s history in the Pike Place Market, the Athenian has been the crossroads of people from all over the world and a haven for those who have found their homes and futures in the Great Northwest. We sincerely hope you enjoy your meal and that you will come back often to enjoy the wide variety of delicious food and beverages we offer.

At Lovage, we do food just a little bit differently. We serve our soups, salads and rice bowls with an emphasis on veggies, healthy, tasty, beautiful veggies. While we love our chicken, tuna, beef and tofu selections, our creativity with vegetables is what makes us unique. We take our influences from the whole world of cuisines, especially the exotic and unusual flavors of Africa. Our East African bowl contains the some traditional flavors of the region, piled atop savory chicken and greens. The spicy Caribbean also inspires some of our favorite combinations. Our Jerk Bowl is made with zippy jerk sauce, sweet potato, plantains, black beans and avocado. From South East Asia we find the delightful flavors of our Asian Peanut Curry Bowl: coconut, curry sauce, sweet and sour cabbage and roasted vegetables.
