In 2008, HavenHouse launched the Young Professionals Board (YPB) as a group of emerging leaders dedicated to raising community awareness and fundraising efforts for families traveling to St. Louis to receive medical care. Today, the YPB is central to raising the visibility of the organization and building new programs through fundraising, technical assistance and professional expertise. The YPB is given the opportunity to build leadership skills while promoting HavenHouse's cause and taking on the ongoing challenges facing the non-profit sector.

Build-A-Body Kid's Fitness, Inc. aims to promote fitness, health, and wellness programs to financially deprived children that are declared obese, free of charge. After medical clearance from a pediatrician, the children receive instructions from registered dietitians and fitness trainers. We help kids take control of their health through varied exercises and nutritional classes. The exercises include lightweight resistance, cardiovascular, and strength training. In addition, information on proper nutrition is provided by a dietitian. We provide both individual and small group fitness classes in a professional studio, which has modifications specifically for kids. The services are free of charge, and they require a letter of medical necessity from the child's physician in order to be eligible for the program. Children wanting to take advantage of our services that do not have a medical need, but would like to utilize preventive measures, are charged a small fee. We are geared to take child fitness into the low-income market by offering our services to those with both physical and financial needs. Build-A-Body Kid's Fitness also provides after school health and fitness programs to elementary and middle schools throughout the metro area. This is known as our "Healthy Schools Program." Our operation is solely funded by grants and charitable donations which are tax deductible.

Moolah YOMO is a group of Shriners based out of Moolah Shrine Center in St. Louis, MO. We have 2 branches of our unit that are both publicly shown. First and most popular is the "Little Yellow Cars", yes we are the old guys that squeeze into those little cars in parade all over Missouri and south western Illinois. We do on average some where between 125-150 appearances a year. These appearances can be either rolling displays driving in a parade or a static display for people to get up close and personal with us and our cars. The other part of our unit is the Speakers Bureau. The Speakers Bureau is a group of men from YOMO that go out and speak at civic or private events explaining the care and treatment that we offer in our Shriners Hospitals for Children. While most of their talk is about our hospitals we also talk slightly about how to become a member of the Shriners and/or how to help us in our philanthropy. Overall we are a unit that likes to get out into the public eye and show the world that we are "Proud to be a Shriner" and also let the world know we are most importantly here to help as many children as we can through the care at our hospitals. Always remember when you see us on the street that "We ride and talk so our kids can walk!"
