For more than 150 years the YMCA of Greater St. Louis has been a place to be together as a family. The Y has served the community with values-based programs and events that build healthy spirits, minds and bodies for all. This 76,000 facility will open its doors to the public on Monday, January 21. The facility was built by and is owned by the City of St. Louis Department of Parks, Recreation and Forestry and is operated by the YMCA of Greater St. Louis. Sabayet, Inc. Community Outreach Center offers after school tutoring, youth program, neighborhood clean-up project, job training, youth employment, guest speaker series and an environment conducive to learning about African Culture.
CHIPS operates a free clinic in the City of St. Louis, Missouri staffed by volunteer physicians who care for uninsured and underserved populations from all over the St. Louis metropolitan area. CHIPS also takes blood pressure, glucose and BMI health screenings to at-risk individuals in the community at over 100 outreach and health education events each year. Since 1990, CHIPS has been the place where uninsured and underinsured people in St. Louis can access primary and preventive health care services, regardless of their ability to pay. CHIPS has served clients in the health center from 100 zip codes in Missouri and 20 in Illinois with no government or United Way funding to cover medical services.
ACOPP is a 501(c)3 charity which partners with a variety of agencies to offer quality social, psychological, developmental and educational services to children of incarcerated parents. We conduct weekly activity projects that will work with the children as well as the incarcerated parents,min order to strengthen family ties. All seminars/workshops facilitated by skilled professionals with accountable experience and knowledge of the subject matter. Supervision of all youth sessions conducted by experienced staff. Program participants will be accepted via referrals from educational institutions, social service agencies, courts, outreach and application enrollment. Groups of 10-15 children engage in tutoring, homework/study sessions, art classes, physical activities, field trips, parent visitation trips and other programs that will afford the children opportunities to be successful while their parents are incarcerated. We will work closely with referral agents in terms of assessment and evaluation of the children.

The NBMBAA - St. Louis Chapter, formed in 1984 and incorporated in the State of Missouri in 1984, has over 135 members with professional experience acquired from both public and private sector organizations. Our chapter founders are: Maria Flores, Jesse Swanigan, and Ruth Teague-Rice.
Our Mission is to coordinate an expansive network of partnerships working together for a common goal: providing the children of the North Campus with a world-class education and an enriching childhood experience so that they will ultimately lift themselves and their families out of poverty.
School Partnerships CAM partners with schools—including all St. Louis public middle and high schools—to provide a curriculum-based program of school visits, museum tours, and workshops with artists. ArtBus Through CAM’s ArtBus, a mobile art studio, the Museum brings hands-on art experiences directly into neighborhoods throughout St. Louis, visiting schools, community centers,festivals, street fairs, and more. Professional Development CAM offers in-depth teacher training on contemporary art trends and practices as well as Advanced Placement portfolio reviews to help ArtReach students prepare for college.
