1) The FREE Filmmaker Training Program enrolls 40 participants each year in 16-week filmmaking workshops that have generated over 300 films by and about queer women of color, gender nonconforming and transgender people of color. QWOCMAP Online University is a mobile-optimized course management system that provides additional resources that support learning. Each year, the professional training offered, and the 30+ films created, through this program represent an annual investment worth $500,000 in the leadership and creativity of our community. 2) The Film & Freedom Academy offers free filmmaking workshops in underserved regions across the U.S. and internationally, in partnership with local LGBTQ people of color community organizations. It condenses the 16-week Filmmaker Training Program curriculum into a 4-day intensive where participants complete films in groups or individually. The program allows QWOCMAP to root filmmaking into communities where there are few resources. 3) QWOCMAP Productions offers artistically excellent and culturally competent video production services to nonprofit organizations, foundations and artists, and provides advanced filmmaking training to Filmmaker Training Program participants. 4) The free annual 3-day Queer Women of Color Film Festival serves 2,000 people each year and it is the largest event of its kind. 5) The Distribution Program links films by, for and about queer women of color, gender nonconforming and transgender people of color to international audiences of over 5,000 annually.
