Luxury Hotels – "Most Expensive Luxury Hotels in the World 2012" The St. Regis Deer Valley is ranked number six among the most expensive luxury Ski hotels in the world and number one in the USA. Only luxury hotels inside ski resorts were considered for the survey. The rankings are based on the average hotel rates for a standard double room for the period spanning January 1 to March 30. The rates were established in late December/early January from the respective hotels' websites, or were requested via phone. Luxury Hotels is an online booking service with an in print magazine.
