Pignic Pub & Patio as a concept was born purely by thinking about where we have made our most fond memories and how we like to spend our free time. For us these memories were made relaxing on a deck or a porch eating BBQ with our closest friends and family while enjoying frosty beer or a delicious cocktail. For whatever reason you get the feeling of a much simpler time and all your worries disappear for just a little bit. With this in mind we have decided to build a community grill and sports parlor to achieve that feeling . We provide the indoor sports parlor with a nod to the memory of sports past in Nevada and a beautiful outdoor kitchen with everything that you need for a carefree day or evening of Grilling. From prep stations to grills, utensils and tableware we provide it. You bring your own meat, fish, veggies, etc to grill or prepared sides to serve. If you didn't get the memo we have you covered on your food needs too with locally raised meats, local sausages and thoughtfully prepared signature sides, rubs/marinades and sauces available from our deli case. While you' are doing the cooking or just soaking up the good time on the deck or inside we are at your service to make you a delicious and fresh craft cocktail made with handcrafted local fresh squeezed juices, house made bitters and shrubs. If you prefer beer then grab one of our 20 beers on draft featuring local and craft brewers from around the globe. We will also have a handpicked wine list with carefully selected wines by the glass and bottle to pair up with grilled meats, fish and veggies. After you're all done eating and drinking to your hearts desire we'll clean up after you and even do the dishes! Archie’s Giant Hamburgers & Breakfast has been serving up some of Reno’s favorite dishes for 17 years. Known for our delicious burgers and the best breakfast in Reno, Archie’s has come a long way since our beginnings in 1995. The Alumni owned and operated restaurant is located on Virginia Street, directly across from the University of Nevada, Reno. It was expanded in the spring of 2007 and now duals as a two-story diner and sports bar. The quaint diner on the lower level is warm and welcoming, the perfect setting to enjoy Archie’s French Toast or Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs. The upper deck features high definition flat screens, a jukebox, video poker at the bar and the best view of the city. Archie’s is open 24 hours. Drink specials — including $1 pitchers Monday night — are daily. The bar holds 24 drafts. Well drinks are poured with Jim Beam and Smirnoff, not plastic-handle knockoffs. Not thirsty? Walk past the bar, relax on a couch and experience the best hookah lounge in town: 24 flavors for $15/bowl, $9 refills. The Waterfall is not a pretentious bar. It is not a shady bar. Visitors play beer pong and pool in the back as college students smoke hookah and out-of-towners view local art — updated each month — on display. The Waterfall provides a safe environment and is Reno’s only bar with such diverse accommodations. The Waterfall is home to the Reno Beer Crawl. In 2008 The Waterfall owners partnered with Amendment 21 to establish the event. RBC has evolved into one of the most popular monthly events downtown. RBC takes place 2-6 p.m. the fourth Saturday of every month. It begins at Reno’s most accommodating bar: The Waterfall. The Waterfall maintains a zero-tolerance policy against serving alcohol to minors. This stance is strictly enforced with ID card scanners at the door. Belligerent and offensive activity is prohibited.
In the summer of 2013, brothers Jim and Don Gibson purchased a classic but dirty piece of Reno history, the 43 room Morris Hotel. In 2008, Jim "Jungle Jim" Gibson joined the Burning Man community and was profoundly moved and changed by the experience. Jim, 2011 Temple of Transition project lead Chris "Kiwi" Hankins, Vision (Alon Bar) and a crew of amazing Burners from around the world have transformed the hotel into a giant piece of permanent Burner art and it is truly changing the world. It has space for 19 live-in artists, 13 Burner designed hotel rooms, indoor and outdoor performance venues, and is just plain amazing! It is like living the best part of the Playa all year, where we live by the 10 principles every day. We hope you will come visit and see for yourself, and like everyone else, leave saying, OMG, this is simply the best spot ever, it's like being at Burning Man! We are a Membership facility, with membership dues allowing almost all of our events to be free, we can offer free rooms for artists from anywhere in the world in our Artist Residency program, and do community outreach work almost every day.
