Southside Christian Center is a community oriented ministry, called to positively affect the South side of St. Louis. Southside, as the ministry is affectionately called, is committed to providing social and economic resources in addition to biblical prosperity principles. The south side of St. Louis is an area that has suffered from a lack of progressive vision from it's leadership. This lack of progressive vision and leadership has resulted in high crime rates and stagnate income levels relative to other areas of St. Louis and the metropolitan area. This diverse community has the resources, community organizations, institutions and religious organizations that can benefit its citizens, but lack the networking power needed for the citizens to advance. Southside Christian Center is currently pursuing facilities that will house a community vision. Our vision fosters and promotes a network of local social and economical services. The vision also includes strategically presenting life issues resolutions and advancing principles that will provide better opportunities for our community. Our vision, our leadership, our network will provide hope as well as resources to our citizens. Ultimately, our mission seeks to uplift the Southside of St. Louis while reducing the crime associated with lower socioeconomic plateaus.

We are committed to teach and model the apostolic doctrine revealed in the Word of God. We believe that every soul is precious and worthy of our love & attention. We are also committed to sharing the "Good News" with those in our community and count it a privilege to play a role in God's expanding Kingdom. Our worship style on Sunday mornings would best be described as "mixed" and our service is from 10:45 to 12:15. On Sunday evenings, we get a little more contemporary and sing a lot of praise songs. Our evening service starts at 6:00 PM and ends at 7:00. It's generally about 30 minutes of singing and 30 minutes devoted to the ministry of the Word of God & prayer. On Wednesday evenings we offer a Bible Study from 7:00 to 8:00 PM Bible and a Prayer meeting immediately following. The Prayer meeting is somewhat open-ended… based on the level of intercession needed. Our facility is handicap friendly. Come and visit us and experience the love of God in a unique way. Or better still; come join us in spreading the life transforming Gospel message.

Saint Trinity Lutheran Church is a small, friendly, congregation that was founded in 1859 by truck farmers in what was Carondelet, Missouri at the time. Currently, worship is held at 10 A.M. and Bible study at 9:00 A.M. on Sundays in the historic second sanctuary built in 1872. The sanctuary is served by a Kilgen 22 rank pipe organ installed in 1903. The services are traditional with hint of contemporary. Besides worshiping in an historic building, the congregation actively strives to help the neighborhood by co-supporting a food pantry with St. Stephens Catholic Church at Saint Trinity's parish hall at 517 W. Kolen Ave. The food pantry is open 3 days a week. In addition, breakfast is served once per month for the neighborhood at the parish hall free of charge...normally on the 4th Saturday of the month at 9:00 A.M... The congregation also employs a parish nurse to help members and neighborhood folks maintain their health. With their small numbers, St. Trinity is looking for growth with young and "young at heart" people with an attitude of service to the community and sharing the love of Christ. It is a place where you can make a BIG difference in the congregation and neighborhood! Folks with building maintenance skills (painting, electrical, carpentry, plastering, tuck-pointing, concrete, etc.) are also sought also as the campus requires some renovation. Another area where you can make a BIG difference! 7404 Vermont Avenue & 517 W.
