Sept 23rd-25th & Sept 30th-Oct 2nd. The origin of Oktoberfest can be traced back to October 12, 1810, the wedding day of Bavaria’s Crown Prince Ludwig to Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen. Against tradition, the couple invited Munich’s common people to the festivities. The events were held over five days on the fields in front of the city gates now called Theresienwiese (Theresa’s Meadow). Forty thousand people showed up for the celebration. A year later, they decided to throw the party all over again as an anniversary tribute to the royal couple. And so the tradition began…

For seven consecutive days, the world’s top athletes race through the majestic Colorado Rockies, reaching higher altitudes than they’ve ever had to endure. One of the largest cycling events in U.S. history and the largest spectator event in the history of the state, the USA Pro Challenge is back for 2015. Coohills’ Beats on the Creek is a summer concert series featuring diverse music every Tuesday beginning July 14, giving guests an opportunity to enjoy an urban experience in a unique, outdoor environment, on a bridge over Cherry Creek in Lodo. Our Bar and Patio open at 3:00 pm; Bridge opens at 6:00 p.m.; Music begins at 6:30 p.m. Admission to the event is free. Food, wine and cocktails will be available for purchase on the bridge. The building features secured, covered parking for $5 after 5 p.m. (please note: if you park before 5 p.m. you will be charged the hourly rate) and all day Saturday and Sunday. The self parking is found by turning off either Wynkoop, or Wewatta, where the Public Parking signs are found. Signs in the garage lead you to the restaurant. Coohills is donating proceeds from Beats on the Creek to The Alliance for a Sustainable Colorado.
