Like the Bereans of old we strive to be also a church of the Word!! We want God's Word to be alive in our daily lives through Worship - praise to God just for who He is; Outreach - fulfilling Jesus command to share His love with the world; Relationships - strengthen interpersonal ties with family, spouse and children and Discipleship - learning though study to be a true image of Jesus. We are involved in the community. On Mondays and Thursdays we have an Alcoholic Anonymous group. On Tuesdays we have Bible study groups and a food pantry following our noon Bible study. On Wednesdays we have prayer meetings and are seeing God give deliverance in some many areas. On Sabbaths (Saturdays) we take time to celebrate the Genesis Creation and the fact that God want to be quality time with us! A various of services are enjoyed on Sabbaths from Prayer Power at 9:15 to Sabbath School for adults and children at 9:45 am to our Praise and Worship Service at 11:15 to various afternoon activities such a Health Learning session, Kidzpace, Preparation for Final Crisis Bible Discussion and Adventist Youth and Family Enrichment Events.
Second Presbyterian Church is a historic church at 4501 Westminster Place in St. Louis, Missouri.HistoryThe congregation was founded in 1838 by the Old School Presbytery of St. Louis. It has had three buildings. Its first building, designed in the Greek Revival architectural style and completed in 1840, was located at Fifth (Broadway) and Walnut Streets. Thirty years later, in 1870, a second church building was erected on Lucas Place at Seventeenth Street.The third and current building was completed in 1896. It was designed by German-born architect Theodore C. Link. The adjacent education building was completed in 1931.Architectural signifianceIt has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1975.
Reverend Chaz T. Jaquess, a young African American native of Saint Louis, is Senior Pastor and Founder of the Salt Covenant Baptist Church. He made history by becoming its first Pastor in July 2007. Since its inception, the Church has experienced spiritual, numerical, and financial growth under his dynamic leadership. Pastor Jaquess has been able to execute kingdom building, business, and operations. The Church’s ministries are organized for service under the Church’s Five Cornerstones of Exaltation, Edification, Evangelism, Extension, and Equipping. Since establishing SC, Pastor Jaquess has continued to be concerned about “evangelism” on a national, state, and local level. Salt Covenant plans to implement the mantle of diversification and expansion by offering a full service worship experience, holistic ministry, spiritual and personal development opportunities, and community involvement/support in the St. Louis area.
