The Recreation Center contains both weight-lifting and cardio equipment, 3 multipurpose courts which can be utilized for volleyball, basketball, or other miscellaneous events, a 1/9 of mile elevated indoor track, the south gym, Campus Wellness Center and the spinning studio. Memberships to the Grand Valley State University Recreation Center are available to all students who are registered for one or more credits , faculty or staff of GVSU, as well as qualified alumni and their immediate families. Community memberships are also available for individuals and families that have no affiliation with GVSU. Student, faculty, and staff may use the facilities with an eligible GVSU ID. The Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) offers a practical, management-oriented program that seeks to integrate theory with experience. The HTM program offers a Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in the following areas: Food and Beverage Management, Lodging Management, Meeting and Event Management, and Tourism Management. We also offer two options for a minor which are Hospitality and Tourism Management and Adventure Tourism. Our program also builds upon Grand Valley's tradition of a liberal arts orientation.
Eyes Wide Open members give presentations to any group that would like one, including Living Centers, Student Organizations, Classes, & Greek Life. When the opportunity arises, we are willing to give off-campus presentations as well. Open to all of the GVSU community, Nerf on the Turf is an evening filled with teams, traps, tags, and tactical genius. The event is held multiple times a semester at the Kelly Family Sports Center, also known as the Turf building, and lets Nerf enthusiasts gather to play a variety of Nerf games in the indoor football field. It is a free event, and athletic attire is recommended. Feel free to bring your own Nerf equipment if you have it, but don't be discouraged if you don't have anything- there are always extra blasters around for people who are interested. So bring your roommate, your energy, and your Raider, and be prepared to have a blast.
Order of Omega recognizes excellence in scholarship, service, and leadership amongst the Greek community. Since founding in 1959, Order of Omega has expanded to over 300 chapters nationwide and continues to recognize the best of the best in Greek organizations.
The GVSU Student Food Pantry is committed to eradicating food insecurity in the university community by providing educational resources and an accessible and diverse selection of food and personal care items.The Student Food Pantry opened in April 2009, thanks to the hard work of Women's Center undergraduate student staff member Susana Villagomez and Women's Center Graduate Assistant Rachael DeWitt. Since that time, the Pantry continues to grow and is utilized daily by students. Donations are accepted at the Women's Center during open hours. Off-campus entities can request someone pick up their donations by contacting the Women's Center at 616.331.2748 or [email protected]. Donations may be in the form of non-perishable food items, gift cards to local grocery stores, or a monetary donation. Donations are tax-deductible and the donor will be provided with a receipt from University Development reflecting their contribution.

We are a Registered Student Organization at Grand Valley State University. We are dedicated to promoting American Indian cultural awareness across the Grand Valley campus and surrounding community as well as bringing attention to important Native American social issues. Psi Chi is the International Honor Society in Psychology, founded in 1929 for the purpose of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship and advancing the science of psychology. Psi Chi is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS) and is an affiliate of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the American Psychological Society (APS). Psi Chi functions as a federation of chapters located at more than 880 senior colleges and universities in the U.S.A. A National Council, composed of psychologists who are Psi Chi members and who are elected by the chapters, guides affairs of the organization and sets policy with the approval of the chapters.
