The Majic Market has been a Kirkwood landmark for more than 40 years. Three years ago it moved to it’s present location at 640 W. Woodbine Ave (across from 7-11). My name is Keith Willis and my wife, Paula, and I bought Majic Market in December 2012 and we are looking forward to continuing to be a big part of the Kirkwood community but are also looking forward to being part of the surrounding communities as well. I was in sales for many years but always had a passion for food. About 9 years ago I left the sales industry and opened a small catering company which had a steady clientele and was continuing to grow. When Jacob Portnoy, the former owner of Majic Market, decided he wanted to retire I jumped at the chance to expand my cooking presence in the community but also want to preserve all the good qualities you have come to enjoy with Majic Market. For those of you familiar with the Kirkwood area you may also know me as Cookie-Man due to the chocolate chip cookies I sell under the name of Cookie-Man Cookies. A distinctive and extremely wonderful chocolate chip cookie that when you try one, we guarantee you will be coming back for more. Majic Market has been known for its famous Gyros and Tzatziki sauce and we are continuing with that tradition. We are also continuing to carry Boar’s Head brand meats for all of our deli sandwiches but we have added soups made from scratch and are expanding the sandwich and dessert selections.
