They play a large role in daily cuisines, as well as often being a big part of holiday meal traditions.
During Santa Cruz Restaurant Week, participating restaurants throughout Santa Cruz County will offer a fixed-price, three-course menu for $25 or $35. Each menu includes three options for each course: appetizer, entrée and dessert. Since 2010, this event has highlighted the wonderful dining experiences offered in Santa Cruz County, and encourages locals to try and new restaurant or rediscover a tried and true favorite. Meet the horses that make up the Santa Cruz Carriage Company and Draft Horses For Hire. Randy Clayton has been working with his horses since 1989--gearing them up for eco-friendly logging or dressing them up to carry a bride to her wedding in a horse-drawn carriage. Teachers and home schoolers bring students to Wilder Ranch for a unique historical experience complete with horse-drawn wagon ride. Kids meet our horses and have an old-fashioned farm day.
