The Wesley United Methodist Church building was constructed of granite, stone, brick, and sandstone in Richardsonian Romanesque style, featuring round-arched windows and multiple towers. When built, the building was in the residential neighborhood of Loring Park at 101 Grant Street East; it was built during Minneapolis' building boom in the last decade of the 19th century. Architect Warren H. Hayes was Minneapolis' leading designer of churches in the 19th century, having designed the Calvary Baptist Church, Fowler Methodist Episcopal Church, and the First Congregational Church, as well as the Central Presbyterian Church in Saint Paul. Today the location is overwhelmed by the neighboring Minneapolis Convention Center. The church was renamed Wesley United Methodist Church when the Methodist Episcopal Church and Evangelical United Brethren Church merged in 1968. The Preservation Alliance of Minnesota listed it on its 2010 10 Most Endangered Historic Places list.

FBC Family Ministry exists to introduce your family to Christ and to grow together as disciples. It may be hard to believe, but the average church (including ours!) has just 40 hours a year to influence a child. Parents have over 3,000. That’s why we’re very strategic with our time. At FBC, we use our 40 hours to focus on: • Connecting each child and student with a leader who sees in them their great potential • Sharing the story of God’s redemption through Jesus Christ • Seeing kids and students come alive as they discover their unique role in the God’s Kingdom More importantly, we want to engage families and equip parents like you to be spiritual leaders in their homes and neighborhoods. That way you can maximize the 3,000 hours you get with your kids. The power of ORANGE. To do these things, we utilize ORANGE, a strategy that draws on the essential elements of scripture to empower parents to build their kids’ view of God, the world, and themselves. ORANGE connects the church and family by providing a comprehensive plan to help kids and students: 1. See Jesus for who he is 2. See themselves the way God does 3. See that they can love others the way He does

We are here to make a difference. Every morning, thousands of Minnesotans with disabilities, low-income residents, seniors and children wake up without basic legal protections, security or access to opportunity. Our unique professionals come from a wide variety of backgrounds. All are committed to the idea that protecting the basic rights of the vulnerable and disadvantaged helps families and individuals achieve self-sufficiency and contribute toward a better community. We are committed to ensuring that everyone has an equal opportunity and equal protection under the law, and we work with policymakers to promote those ideals. www.mylegalaid.org
It is estimated that more than 15 million children don’t have the resources they need to succeed in school and that teachers spend more than $1.6 billion a year stocking their own classrooms due to a lack of funding in schools. Supporting K-12th grade students, including public, private, and charter school classrooms, AdoptAClassroom.org makes it easy for donors to provide funding and support to classrooms throughout America. Teachers register their classrooms and needs online; donors discover classrooms through simple search tools, and make targeted contributions. As an award-winning 501(c)(3) non-profit, we are able to connect donors with every classroom in the country. Since we were founded in 1998, AdoptAClassroom.org has connected thousands of donors with over 148,000 classrooms. We have raised over $28 million and estimate that we have improved the learning environment for over 2 million children. Many people ask, how we support our operations. AdoptAClassroom.org is a national nonprofit that receives operational support from corporate sponsors, individuals who generously donate to our Annual Fund, and contributions from vendors on our site.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is the world’s leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis. We fund more CF research than any other organization, and nearly every CF drug available today was made possible because of Foundation support. We are a nonprofit donor-supported organization dedicated to attacking cystic fibrosis from every angle. Our focus is to support the development of new drugs to fight the disease, improve the quality of life for those with CF, and ultimately to find a cure. The Foundation's drug development success has been recognized by Harvard Business School and by publications such as Forbes and The Wall Street Journal. Based in Bethesda, Md., the Foundation funds and accredits a national care center network that has been recognized by the National Institutes of Health as a model of care for a chronic disease. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is one of the most efficient organizations of its kind and is an accredited charity of the Better Business Bureau's Wise Giving Alliance.
We seek to provide objective information in an accessible format that clarifies complex issues and increases people's understanding and capacity to make sound environmental decisions.
