Cooking is human. Cooking and food science began our evolutionary ascendancy. We examine the world in order to eat it. Entertainment is the human story. Storytelling began our exploration of the mysteries. We wonder in order to understand, and we fall down for a laugh. These are our additions to the world, and yet, men and women have languished in hunger for millenia. Due to a lack of dramatic foods and a dearth of delectable entertainment souls today rumble with pangs and shrivel. In Café Nordo's pursuit of unadulterated digestions, theatrical cuisine combats the theology of blandness that permeates our culture, and hopefully busts a gut or two. Carnal Food is the cleansing of one's perception of diet, a hedonist's approach to gastronomic revelation, a melodramatic confrontation with what lies on the plate. This is food the way a man and woman were meant to eat it. This is a conversation with your food and the food talks back.

Located in Bellevue, an upscale neighborhood just north of Seattle, PACMUN is a Model UN conference both attended and staffed by high school students, and leading the pack in its first year! Throughout PACMUN, delegates encompass both crucial parts of political policy-making: the diplomatic relations and the intellectual response. Both first-time delegates and experienced “gavel hunters” develop their skills in networking and genuine diplomacy. By requiring position papers, resolutions and responses “crisis situations,” we stretch delegates mentally, further requiring diplomatic actions and connections. If the first day of debate leaves you brain dead, don’t worry delegates – there’s time to unwind at the three-hour Delegate Dance!
