Fahrenheit is a non-profit initiative in Los Angeles dedicated to both research and creation in the field of contemporary art. Conceived by Flax Foundation and developed by director and curator Martha Kirszenbaum, it is an interrelated residency program and a space dedicated to exhibitions, performances, film programs and talks. It supports the exchange and integration of France-related artists, curators and critics with a particular emphasis on outreach programs in communities within greater Los Angeles. Anchored in the newer creative heart of Downtown Los Angeles, Fahrenheit occupies a 2,000 sq-ft exhibition space, an artist studio and an office for curators and critics, conveniently sharing a former industrial building with François Ghébaly Gallery, Human Resources sponsored Los Angeles Contemporary Archives, and publishers 2nd Cannons Publications and DoPe Press. Exploring diverse practices and encouraging critical engagement and innovative approaches, Fahrenheit provides a platform to artists, curators and critics willing to pursue artistic research and production methodologies in all fields of artistic creation, including visual and performing arts, literature, dance and music. Fostering a vigorous cultural exchange and a creative network between France and Los Angeles, Fahrenheit focuses on emerging practices and offers an agile playground and laboratory for artistic and curatorial developments that lie outside the commercial realm. Encouraging its participants to create and think independently, Fahrenheit wishes to respond to current artistic needs and concerns, and facilitate transcultural dialog between international and local artists, art professionals and audiences. Fahrenheit aims at integrating its participants in the Los Angeles communities through on-site and off-site projects, as well as helping them penetrate the local and international contemporary art scene.
Ace Escape Game is L.A.’s ultimate escape game experience. This is a live experience unmatched by any video game or simulator. Your situation is real and you have to rely on yourself and your team in order to decode the clues and find your way out of one of our rooms. Ace Escape House features 3 unique themed rooms. Each room has its own backstory but the idea is the same: you’re in a perilous situation and time is running out. Each room has its own set of game rules where participants have 60 minutes to play. The maximum amount of participants per room is eight. Ace Escape game is a one-of-a kind gaming experience where you will be required to piece together the clues during your allowed time slot.
