The Five Points Corridor is a multi-cultural entertainment and business district rooted in African-American history and seen as a destination for arts, culture and entertainment. Located along a light rail corridor on the northeast edge of downtown Denver, the district offers quick access to downtown and adjoining neighborhoods. The corridor is the focal point and central gathering place for the surrounding neighborhoods of San Rafael, Curtis Park, Cole, Whittier and Five Points.
1999 Broadway is a 548ft tall skyscraper in Denver, Colorado. It was completed in 1985 and has 46 floors. The building was designed by Curtis W. Fentress, FAIA, RIBA of Fentress Architects and is the 5th tallest in Denver. 1999 Broadway has a unique shape, it is shaped like a triangle with a scoop in the side. This is caused by the desire to retain the historical Holy Ghost Catholic Church at the base.

While we support substance abuse prevention and treatment efforts, we live in reality and know that the most effective way to prevent the spread HIV and Hepatitis C (HCV) is to stop it at its source: the needle. We know that our participants care about their lives and their wellbeing. Stigma prevents society from making informed decisions about public health. Old-fashioned laws and attitudes surrounding drug addiction, accidental overdoses, and the spread of blood-borne pathogens like HCV and HIV have historically served to perpetuate the problems they sought to resolve. The HRAC’s current initiatives—based on science, data, and compassion—are good for the health and safety of everyone in our community.
