The Woodlake Reach of the Parkway was given over by the North Sacramento Land Company, early supporters of the vision of the Parkway, in 1989. The County proceeded to allow camping and dumping on this 440 acre section of the Parkway stretching almost from Discovery Park to Cal Expo. Now it is a desperate, dangerous, ugly place with murder and mayhem a regular occurance.
