The three owners of Children First Pediatrics founded the group in July of 1999 with the philosophy that medicine should be practiced in a personal – not corporate – environment where the patients’ well-being is the primary focus. Drs. Perez-Adam, Gulde and Ferreris chose a name to reflect their practice philosophy: Children First. Dr. Merritt joined the practice in 2006 after completing her residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She brings youth and exuberance to the mission of putting children first! We are proud to announce a recent new affiliation with the Children's Hospital of San Antonio Physician's Group, with the goal of providing excellent pediatric care in a more centralized manner. Our own Dr. Ferreris has been named the chief medical officer of the physician's group! We are excited to be involved in the building of this physician's group, following in the footsteps of such similar physician's groups in Houston and Dallas. Drs. Perez-Adam, Gulde, Ferreris and Merritt invite you to call them or visit Children First Pediatrics, where your child’s health is our first priority.
