Peter Fonseca, MD, a board-certified, fellowship-trained thoracic surgeon, provides a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of chest diseases from his clinical experience based on best practices and national organization guidelines. He performs median sternotomy, thoracotomy, minimally invasive thoracoscopic resection and robotic procedures. Each procedure is tailored to the patient and their disease pathology to provide the best chance for success and the quickest recovery with the best outcome. Dr. Fonseca’s practice is limited to thoracic surgery. While the majority of his surgeries are for diseases of the lung, he also sees esophageal and mediastinal disease frequently, including benign and malignant tumors. In consultations with multiple physicians and considering multiple treatment options for chest diseases, we develop a plan with the patient’s input on how best to treat a particular disease for that particular patient.

When a prospective client contacts a Senior Helpers office, they set up a complimentary initial assessment at the client’s location to discuss the client’s needs and formulate a care plan. If necessary, a staff member, Social Worker or RN (depending on the State regulations) will conduct a full nursing assessment to gauge the client’s status and clarify the care plan. They determine the most appropriate caregiver for the client using the assessment information and the caregiver matching process. Service starts on the pre-determined date. Follow-up is conducted immediately after service begins and on a periodic basis to ensure excellent care delivery.
