GHOST is an Art Lounge located directly across the street from Woodward Gallery at 132A Eldridge Street, New York. The concept is taken from a photo and eyewitness accounts of a Ghostly apparition in front of the space when it was first built! Damon Dash presents Poppington, his newest downtown factory. Located at 60 Orchard Street in the Lower East Side, the multi-disciplinary space provides artists, graphic designers, and musicians a place to come together and realize their creative visions. Established by Nick Lawrence (co-founder and former partner of LFL Gallery in New York and owner of "DNA Gallery in Provincetown, MA) in 2005, Freight + Volume was formed by combining the text-based, narrative philosophy and limited edition book focus of its two-year predecessor, Volume, with the motivation to show dynamic, visceral, and provocative new work in all media and dealing with a range of subject matter.

We are a gallery exhibition space located in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, located at 33b Orchard Street between Hester and Canal Streets. Why 33 Orchard? [a] To create a gallery structure that invites other gallerists/curators, who do not currently have permanent spaces, to install exhibitions of their programs alongside like-minded professionals. [b] The need to create such a space, stems from the prevailing gallery business model which has become too costly with the commercial rents, production costs, and art fairs fees associated with maintaining them. [c] We are passionate about the ideas of sharing resources, collaborating, and splitting the costs of operating an art gallery. Who is 33 Orchard? Jane Kim: Jane Kim is an art dealer, gallerist, and curator based in New York. Kim's professional experience includes working at various galleries in New York City and Paris, then creating her first gallery Thrust Projects in 2005 which subsequently became Jane Kim Gallery in 2011, an online gallery for contemporary art. Her work also includes the pop-up show Swing State at the location, 119 Hester Street in NYC this past April-May 2013.
MARC STRAUS, a contemporary art gallery, opened September 2011 on the Lower Eastside in New York. January 2012 MARC STRAUS moved to its permanent location at 299 Grand Street, a fully reconstructed three-story building that began as a tenement and in the last century has housed various retail stores consistent with a changing population. Marc says, “My roots are here. This is an area now with yet another life, vital to the emerging art scene. 299 is a homecoming – it's just across the street from the textile store my immigrant father had owned and where I worked from childhood until I graduated medical school.” MARC STRAUS is a gallery that continues the tradition of its founder in identifying and fostering some of the best new international art talent. 13 artists are represented from 9 countries most of whom have not shown before in the US.

LMAKprojects was founded by Louky Keijsers Koning in 2005 and Bart Keijsers Koning joined as co-owner in 2009. The gallery's primary interest lies in the commitment to the artist's process and dedication to their thoughts and production. LMAKprojects works with artists who have proven to sustain continuity in their visual expression without being repetitive. The gallery strives to introduce collectors to new horizons through visual, sound, or conceptual experience, as well as opening communication to develop a relation between the viewer and the art. LMAKprojects is known for its exhibitions with international allure and focusing on interdisciplinary practices. LMAKprojects began operation in two New York spaces, Chelsea and Williamsburg, however, in October of 2008 it relocated to the Lower East Side (LES). The ground floor space features two levels with the first floor being solely dedicated to exhibitions, and the downstairs lower level for an office and private viewing. The new location allows for a focused program and an accessible neighborhood to welcome collectors. The gallery presents works in all media, ranging from drawing, painting, photography, video/film, and sculpture by artists from all over the world. Artistsʼ works have been acquired through LMAKprojects by such institutions as Museo del Barrio, New York; Contemporary Museum of Photography, Chicago; Guggenheim, New York; the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; The Philbrook Museum, Tulsa OK; Kadist Art Foundation, Paris, France and San Fransisco, US; Rhode Island Museum of Art, RI; Minneapolis Institute of Art, MN. The gallery has been reviewed in such publications as the New York Times, Art in America, Artforum, The Village Voice, the Washington Post, Modern Painters, Interview Magazine among others. LMAKprojects is a member of ArtTable. Owners/Directors Louky Keijsers Koning Bart Keijsers Koning Louky Keijsers Koning Graduated with a MA in Art History and a MA in Cultural Management from the University of Amsterdam in 2001. After a few years of managing various galleries she decided to expand her curatorial efforts and started LMAKprojects in 2005. Bart Keijsers Koning Graduated from SVA in 2000 specialized in painting, after a transfer from Columbia College Art department where he also studied Business. Prior to joining LMAKprojects in 2009 Keijsers Koning exhibited and curated in the Netherlands and the US, and managed various galleries.
Located on the Lower East Side in New York City, the gallery program aims to show exploratory work by emerging and mid-career artists. The gallery is open by appointment only from 5 August - 28 August 2016. We resume regular business hours starting Monday, August 29th.

Causey Contemporary cultivates and represents contemporary artists from their emergence through their maturity. About the Gallery: Causey Contemporary represents exquisite technically and conceptually challenging art. The gallery exhibits the work of its core group of 16 artists in 11 shows annually, in addition to hosting special exhibitions by other critically recognized artists. Causey Contemporary participates in two or more international art fairs annually and also organizes international touring exhibitions. Causey Contemporary and its artists have been covered in Artnews, Artforum, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and multiple other art and culture publications. Causey Contemporary was established in 1999 as Ch’i Contemporary Fine Art. Founder and Director Tracy Causey-Jeffery changed the name in September 2009 to commemorate the gallery’s expansion and its tenth anniversary. The gallery moved into it’s first Manhattan location in November of 2014.
