Snake Pit first opened its doors in October of 1991. To this day the only original Bartender "T" still is employed at the "Pit". There have been many great moments at this popular waterin' hole. Business ventures, screen writings, anniversary parties, love at first sight, the list goes on and on. Poeple of all walks of life have been to the Snake Pit. The history of the building in itself surpasses most businesses on Melrose. Snake Pit has survived the lootings of the L.A. Riots, and the North Ridge Earthquake. The set back of the fire that occurred on March 26th is a little sabbatical for the establishment. As we all know the Black Knight states in "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" "It's a mere flesh wound". Stay posted on this site and we will get you the information as it comes. Come one come all, let's fill this waterin' hole with many more memories, working lunches, and anniversary parties.

Hollywood Fight Club was founded when actor David Danino, dared to ask: “What would happen if I took my career into my own hands?” The answer was Hollywood Fight Club. The location at Sunset and Highland had not been rented in four years. David literally stepped over the unfortunate homeless people sleeping in the alcove to look at the location. Danino, a successful working actor, was tired of waiting for his next break to play the roles he loved and tell the stories he hungered for. With a dream in his heart, he pooled all his savings together, accumulated an unforeseen amount of credit card debts, and built the theater with his own hands. Danino asked actors, directors, and writers like himself: “Why wait? Why let this town get to you? Why not produce your own work?” So, Danino went back to the basics and created his own cooperative environment concept to provide opportunities for actors, writers and directors alike.
