It started with a simple question: "What do you know about your great-grandfather?" To which our newly-minted teen quickly quipped: "He was REALLY rich." Horrified, his NaNa chided us for relaying so little of her father's legacy, and she expressed her wish that she could have found some way of keeping his words of wisdom fresh for future generations. In considering how to solve that problem, we found too many clunky and cluttered websites. What our teen's NaNa really needed is an intuitive online toolkit that is simple to navigate -- a place to record and replay key moments in life when it matters most. Chronicling facts and translating them into simple stories is our obsession. WisdomBox is an online legacy toolkit that enables everyone to do so. WisdomBox was designed to have particular value to those affected by life-threatening illnesses, as a place where those individuals, and their families and caregivers, can capture, store and share their legacies, and the wisdom of lives well-lived, with those those they love and with the world. Define what you leave behind. WisdomBox.me

History The Tenderloin Clinic first opened its doors in October 1975, with a mandate to provide outpatient mental health services to adult residents of the Tenderloin. Initially located at 200 Golden Gate, the Clinic was a component of the Community Care Center of Northeast Community Mental Health, Inc. It moved to its present location in 2004. The Clinic has been administered by a number of agencies over the years, most recently the Bayview Hunters Point Foundation. In July of 2003, the Clinic became an independent program of the Hyde Street Community Services, Inc. Over the years, despite changes in location, administration, and staff, the Clinic has maintained a reputation for quality services, continually anticipating and adapting to the changing needs of the population it serves. After over ten years of operation, the clinic now serves over 700 clients. The Tenderloin Clinic provides an array of services built on a model of comprehensive care. Using a team approach to treatment, a multi-disciplinary staff works together to address the often complex problems of the client population. Adhering to a philosophy of providing integrated services, the Clinic welcomes individuals with co-morbid substance abuse problems and addresses those issues in both individual and group treatment. Assessment All clients receive a comprehensive initial evaluation and assessment to determine an individualized plan of care.
