Just to share a little of my ski experience with you: I am a level 3 certified ski instructor through PSIA-E. I have taught skiing for over 40 years. I teach all ages and abilities, male and female, though teaching female skiers who are timid or newly coming back to the sport, is my specialty. I work through Gunstock for private lessons for single or group privates. It's much more economical to take a private lesson with a few friends, as long as you are all close to the same ability level. I prefer you to message me through Facebook, initially, to arrange an available day and time. I will then refer you to Gunstock to schedule the lesson. I am also available to ski with groups at other ski areas. Hopefully through the winter I can arrange a couple women's ski getaways. I will get word out on as soon as I have more details on this. If you are in need of new skis this year and would like to try some different versions, I am a K2 ski rep and can make arrangements to bring skis for you to try out with your lesson. Hope you'll join me on the snow this winter.

Coach CJ Best: "What I do is strength and conditioning, and in essence, it’s personal training for an athlete. I develop strength training programs that benefit an athlete based on their sport or activity. Assessment is a huge focus of mine with all my athletes. First, find any problem, and rather than treating the symptoms, correct the cause. I do so by using corrective exercise, because, the muscular imbalances that an athlete may have can be corrected with certain exercises or drills and this contributes towards injury prevention; another major component of all my strength training programs. There are also many exercises that can be considered preventative exercise; exercises which help an athlete avoid a common injury based on their sport. The fundamental focus of all my programs is to train the kinetic chain. The human body isn’t designed to isolate a muscle group. So we have to train in those same movement patterns we use in our sport and daily life. Also as important as what an athlete does is when they do it; based on their season of competition. So when I program for an athlete I map out their entire year, in season, post season, off season, and pre season. Their programs have to correlate with what they should be doing in each season; and this method is designed to help an athlete peak for their season of competition. Often underrated, I think some athletes forget to focus on the mental component and fortitude it takes to achieve improved performance; so I like to remind them, stay focused, keep a strong positive mindset because there is nothing more powerful than our minds"
