At Divine Duties, we raise money to allow able and willing volunteers to pursue their dreams of serving God and His people in countries all over the world, as well as in prisons in the United States, via mission work and ministry work. We’re a Christian-based nonprofit organization, headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, that raises funds to help people help others. There is a huge need for such fundraising. It is very expensive to go on mission trips. A typical overseas mission trip requires the volunteer to come up with out-of-pocket expenses of at least $2000 to $3000. Even traveling to a prison across the United States can cost more than many people can afford. At Divine Duties, we actively raise and provide the necessary funding, so that volunteers who have the time, dedication, and ability to perform these mission and ministry activities can do so. We raise funds in multiple ways including establishing kick-starter campaigns, fundraising campaigns, and selling Divine Duties themed merchandise. We also work with local churches to raise awareness, spread the word about our activities, and to identify any volunteers who are in need of assistance. Our two primary focuses are mission trips and prison ministry. Nathan Adelson Hospice was founded over 35 years ago following the death of Nathan Adelson. Mr. Adelson was a beloved hospital administrator who cared deeply for his patients and employees. Following a long painful battle with stomach cancer, sadly Mr. Adelson passed away. Family and friends close to him realized the need for healthcare specific to pain management and responded to that need. In 1978, Nathan Adelson Hospice became Southern Nevada’s first home care hospice. Nathan Adelson Hospice (NAH) is the largest and only non-profit hospice in Southern Nevada, caring for over 400 patients each day. Known as an industry leader, the organization has a reputation for providing exceptional end-of-life care. In 1983, Nathan Adelson Hospice opened the area’s first inpatient hospice and today we are nationally recognized as a model for superior hospice care. Nathan Adelson Hospice is proud to be accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations. In 1999, the organization opened a second inpatient hospice facility, and Nathan Adelson Hospice now has 38 inpatient beds. In addition to having two inpatient units and a home care program, Nathan Adelson Hospice provides care to residents of Pahrump and other outlying counties.

Shield of HOPE is a multifaceted partnership between law enforcement, the community, government agencies, faith based organizations, and non-profit organizations. Shield of HOPE's Mission is to rid violence from the community, enrich the lives of the people, and reach out and provide resources to those in need. Established in 2012 due to high crime that included (56) Robberies and (4) Homicides that occurred within the same area in South Central Area Command (SCAC) within a six month period. During this six month period, the police officers at SCAC were hard at work arresting those individuals that needed to be arrested, but the crime numbers continued to grow. The leadership at SCAC came to the conclusion that the police could no longer arrest away the problems that were occurring in SCAC, they needed to find a new way of policing that involved the police and the community working together. Thus, Shield of HOPE was born with the overall focus being placed on reducing violence in high crime neighborhoods. Programs and Services: Shield of HOPE's Dropout Recovery Program (DRP) focuses on preventing high school students from dropping out and identifying those students that have become habitually truant. Shield of HOPE leads Stop the Violence Rallies within SCAC after violence has occurred. These rallies are ACTIVATIONS that are coordinated with the faith based community and community volunteers who assist in bringing about a sense of calm and peace to the affected community in the aftermath of a violent crime. These ACTIVATIONS also help suppress future retaliatory violence stemming from that violent crime. Whether its Easter, Halloween, Christmas or Mother's Day, Shield of HOPE takes pride in hosting successful Community Events throughout the year. The Shield of HOPE Community Events provide a safe environment for families and neighbors to enjoy one another. These events also provide a venue for the community to get to know the police better, and for the police to listen to the problems and concerns within the community.
