We are a family business based out of Saint Louis, Missouri. Founded by Joe Steudeman and his step-son Randy Tienes, you're more than likely to see one of them or another member of the family working at all times. Our first store opened up in Jamestown Mall on July 1, 2005 and two years later on June 29, 2007 we opened up our second store in the South County Center Mall. 9 years later we have decided to leave both of those malls and move to a strip mall about a quarter of a mile from the South County Mall. Come check us out at our new location as soon as you get a chance!
Hi I'm Tom Fedke. I offer repair, maintenance, and modification services for various types of audio and musical equipment such as: -Tube Amps (guitar or bass) -Solid State Amps (guitar, bass, keyboard) -Various Effect Pedals -Studio and Live Equipment such as Outboard Gear and Small Mixers -Guitars and Basses If you have music gear in need of repair, general maintenance, or have an idea for custom modification, then give me a call and let's see what we can do! If you play in a band and especially if you play gigs, you know how your gear can have a mind of its own. The same applies to those running live sound or recording an album with a band in the studio. Your equipment can, and will, malfunction and usually at the worst time possible. This is where I can help you out! I can provide the necessary diagnosis and repair for most of your musical equipment. From a burned up power supply, to a failed op amp, to tube replacement and biasing, I can get you up and running again. Most sound equipment, whether it be the lowly guitar tuner to the high dollar tube amplifier, will require some attention at some point. Amplifiers, guitars and basses, rack equipment, etc, deal with lots of vibration, smoke, spilled beer, and the many other rigors of regular use. I offer basic maintenance procedures that can save you a lot of headache and even money down the road. Here are some maintenance services that I offer... Typical maintenance for amps includes: -Cleaning of noisy and scratchy potentiometers (pots) -Deoxidizing and tightening of input and output jacks -Checking power supply filter capacitors for tolerance and signs of failure. They have a limited lifespan -Checking and adjusting power tube bias in tube amplifiers. -Re-tension and clean tube sockets in tube amps -Checking and resoldering specific connections in the amp Mixers, compressors, equalizers, and effects processors also benefit from many of the maintenance procedures mentioned above. These types of equipment are exposed to vibration and dirt on a regular basis. Clean, solid connections are paramount in live and recording situations so going over your gear with a fine tooth comb now and then can really pay off in the long run. For guitars and Basses typical maintenance includes: -Cleaning the fretboard and polishing the frets -Cleaning noisy and scratchy potentiometers (pots) -Tightening neck bolts, tuning machines, pots, and output jack -Checking internal wiring and resoldering where necessary -Checking and adjusting pickup height, intonation, and string action. Call or e-mail me for pricing and turnaround times. For some repairs and most maintenance, I can give you a quote without having to see the equipment. There are also times when I will need to order parts for a repair and this will delay how quickly I can complete the repair. Thank you for checking out the page and I hope to hear from you soon!
