The purposes of the Center are to provide high quality programming for children and their parents; staff development and teacher training; and a site for child study/research. The Center, located in Room 130 South Campus Classroom Building at the University of Missouri-St. Louis South Campus, 7800 Natural Bridge (map), provides full and half-day care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age (or before a child attends kindergarten).

Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow or STAT is the student chapter of the Alumni Association and is made up of students with different ages, majors, and levels in school. The Center for Character and Citizenship generates and disseminates knowledge and research about how individuals develop moral and civic character and provides scholars, educators and organizations with the tools they need to contribute to this development.
The Art Institute of St. Louis provides school-sponsored housing to students enrolled in classes. Interested students should speak with a financial aid advisor, add housing into their financial aid plan, turn in a completed application, and submit the $150 refundable deposit. All utilities, furniture, cable and internet are all included in the cost. Our housing program has many amenities! We have complimentary community events, single bedrooms, 24 hour emergency response, gated parking, secured facility, study groups, swimming pool and hot tub, laundry facilities, BBQ pavilion and sand volleyball courts! This is the official Facebook page of Lucas Crossing Elementary Complex, an elementary school in the Normandy Schools Collaborative. LCEC is the largest elementary school in the district, and borders the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and Bel-Ridge community.
The Matsakis Hellenic Culture Center at the University of Missouri-St. Louis is a place where scholars, students, and community members are welcome to immerse themselves in the culture and history of Greece - both international and locally. The Center is a resource for political, educational, cultural, travel, and business information. THE NICHOLAS AND THEODORA MATSAKIS HELLENIC CULTURE CENTER INCLUDES: • The KARAKAS FAMILY LIBRARY filled with general interest books and periodicals on ancient, Byzantine, and modern Greece as well as a collection of current brochures, informational booklets, and other printed materials from Greek public and private organizations including subscriptions to major Greek newspapers and magazines. • The ANDREW DIMAROGONAS MEDIA CENTER that holds a computer with access to the internet and updated bookmarks for major Greek portals and Web sites. Also, the Media Center includes a collection of educational and informational videos and computer programs about Greece that are available for use in the Center. • The MARY E. CRITZAS ARCHIVES OF THE GREEK-AMERICAN COMMUNITY that will detail the history of the local Greek-American community, including the documents resulting from the Oral History project. • The MARY E. CRITZAS GALLELRY OF GREEK ART that hosts a permanent exhibition of replicas of ancient and Byzantine Greek art as well as temporary exhibits by modern Greek artists. This museum is the only one of its kindin St. Louis and is a major attraction for locals and tourists interested in Greek culture. Furthermore, it will be used for classes and lectures on Greek art and culture. * The HELLENIC SPIRIT FOUNDATION CONFERENCE ROOM that is available for a number of events and activities related to Greek culture including lectures, films, meetings, and performances. The Nicholas and Theodora Matsakis Hellenic Culture Center could not have been possible without the outstanding support of its very generous donor. We continue to seek funds to build an endowment to operate the Center in perpetuity. This fund will allow for the Center to expand and offer new and exciting educational opportunities.

Many of our services are free of charge, including samples of some common over-the-counter medications. We also provide application forms for the Student Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan. The Writing Studio is staffed by screened and trained undergraduate students who engage students in conversation, help them brainstorm topics, create outlines, round out first drafts, and revise complete drafts. Tutors will also focus on organizational strategies, supporting detail, and clarity. Tutors may also counsel students on sentence structure, word choice, and grammar.
