The ALLY Foundation has partnered with the RAND Corporation—one of the nation’s leading research institutions dedicated to conducting evidence-based research to inform public policy—to support research and analysis on sexual violence. Housed in RAND’s Safety and Justice Program—and drawing on RAND’s interdisciplinary staff of researchers with backgrounds in psychology, sociology, criminal justice, education, among others—The ALLY Institute at RAND will provide a single source on relevant research to address and help end sexual violence. The ALLY Foundation and the ALLY Institute at RAND build evidence that contributes to best practices to eradicate sexual violence and catalyzes innovation and informed responses to this complex problem. There is no single resource on best practices for addressing sexual violence, from prevention through management, in the United States and the ALLY Institute is the first evidence-driven center of its kind that could lead to new insights and understandings about human safety and sexual violence.

From the Top is America’s largest national platform dedicated to celebrating the stories, talents, and character of classically-trained young musicians. Through live events, NPR and YouTube broadcasts, scholarships, and leadership programs, we empower these extraordinary young people to engage and inspire music lovers of all ages. Our classically-trained musicians, ages 8–18, astonish audiences with their skill and talent. Their hard work, dedication, and passion make them role models for their peers (and adults, too!). Yet, when they tell us about their lives outside of music, we are reminded that they are typical kids and teenagers, with normal worries and big dreams. In this winning combination we see a bright future, filled with the joy and hope that music offers to the world.
The orphanage will not only help these children ameliorate themselves, but also we are hoping to actually change the way people see streets children and the lives of thousands of people. The reasoning is as follows: nearly all of these children will, at some point in their lives, become parents. Basic psychology and sociology teach us that our parents parent or raise us as they were parented. We act in ways, which we have learned how to. If someone has experienced only abuse, torture, abandonment and rejection, then psychologically that is all the person will be able to pass out to his or her own children. If, however, one has received the gifts of hope, supports, loving, brighter future, caring and tenderness then one will naturally pass these on to one’s children. Further, if one has received an education and training, one is much more likely to provide one’s children with an education, shelter, love and nutrition.
