Traditional Mexico DF (City) cuisine in a festive big-city atmosphere. We offer a community table that can accommodate up to 14 people.
We're a Taqueria by day and a full service restaurant by night! Daytime is casual and quick. But when night falls, the room is transformed; simple changes make it warm and inviting, rather than exclusive and upscale. We make excellent Mexican food the old-school way. Yep, that means lard in the refried beans (along with two vegetarian options,) high-quality meats from Neiman and Creekstone Farms, and fresh produce from Green Leaf. We also get a variety of ingredients and spices from the Mission Mexicatessens to create the most authentic flavors. Our tortillas are from La Palma and we use real Mexican crema; it's the only way to go. Very traditional food (please don't call it upscale!) prepared thoughtfully with no silly presentations or unnecessary fluff. Want Tropisueño delivered right to you? Don't fret, just download Postmates on your phone and order away! We're also all about cocktails! Hand-squeezed margaritas are just the beginning. We use premium El Jimador tequila in our house drinks, (Manuel won't have it any other way.)
Our philosophy is simple: keep it fun and make it fresh. We handcraft five salsas, 100 pounds of carnitas, and every tortilla and chip in-house, every day. Our beans are always fresh. If there’s juice in your drink, we just squeezed it. And we always keep the atmosphere fun, whether enjoying tacos on the outdoor patio or winding down with a margarita at the bar. Salud!
