The Talako Indian Dancers is a non-profit youth organization dedicated to the appreciation of American Indian culture and dancing. The kids learn authentic Indian dances and perform for civic groups, festivals, etc.
At the centerpiece of The Jobs Partnership is Life & Work, a 12-week job training program available to men and women who are stalled in their lives, their jobs, or both. The program does more than teach participants how to write resumes and interview for a job. It helps them develop a sense of hope based upon their understanding of God’s purpose for their lives, both personally and professionally. Trained community volunteers work with participants one-on-one, establishing mutually rewarding relationships. This connection is often the beginning of a support network that helps students grow both personally and professionally. The “Life” portion of the program focuses on the “soft skills” vital to success at work. Students are expected to complete a weekly assignment from the workbook in preparation for relevant instruction and small group discussion led by volunteer mentors. Class topics include: IDENTITY & PURPOSE RELATIONSHIPS WORK PURPOSE AUTHORITY ATTITUDE INTEGRITY COMMUNICATION CONFLICT STEWARDSHIP EXCELLENCE The “Work” portion teaches the essential “employability skills” for success in finding and keeping a job. Community partners provide qualified instructors and access to resources to facilitate a successful job search, all with the help of volunteer job counselors and interview coaches. Class topics include: ONLINE CAREER ASSESSMENT GOAL SETTING PROFESSIONAL RESUME PREPARATION JOB SEARCH STRATEGIES INTERVIEWING TECHNIQUES DRESS FOR SUCCESS PRIVATE COMMUNITY RESOURCE
The Assistance Fund is an independent charitable patient assistance foundation that helps patients and families facing high medical out-of-pocket costs by providing financial assistance for their copayments, coinsurance, deductibles and other health-related expenses. We manage more than 30 funds – each of which covers the FDA-approved medications that treat that specific disease. If a doctor diagnoses a patient with a condition like lupus or multiple sclerosis, patients who need help paying for their medications or other health-related services call us to determine whether they are eligible for support. With a leading technology platform and best in class patient advocates, we are able to quickly and efficiently respond to patient requests for assistance. Since we were founded in 2009, we have helped more than 43,000 adults and children access the medicines they need to stay healthy or manage a chronic condition.

FHCC has been serving the Florida community since 1984. Under the leadership of President, Karen van Caulil, PhD, and its board of directors, the Coalition continues to make progress in improving our community's health care. The Coalition staff, board members, partners, affiliates, and sponsors organize annual events and seminars aimed at continuous improvement of quality of health care not only in Florida but nationwide. For example: One significant achievement of the FHCC, which directly affects nearly 2,000,000 lives, is the continued enlistment of physicians in the quality-improvement efforts benefiting the entire community whether through adoption of evidence-based medicine to supporting the Central Florida Regional Health Information Organization (CFRHIO). The purpose of the Coalition is to address the quality of health care in the Florida community. Implementing and promoting such programs as Leapfrog Hospital Survey, eValue8TM, Wellness Connection and many others, the Coalition has made dramatic changes in the quality of health care provided to Floridians. The Coalition's main office is located in Orlando and currently has members, affiliates and partners representing much of the business community in Central and South Florida.
