Photography, Videography, Print and Production In 1989 Brian was first introduced to a near lost art called conventional stripping where negatives are arranged in patterns to create printed pages. This was around the same time that he picked up a video camera and started filming a colorgaurd. Photography came shortly after and has become another one of Brian's great talents. Professional DJ Entertainment In the early 1990's, Brian Shaw discovered his love for dj entertainment while performing his first show. A private party held for a group of investors and organized by a school he had attended. Since then his love for entertainment and the arts has grown and he continues to perform in staged performances, at weddings, private parties, and other venues under the pseudonym, Asylum Entertainment or Asylum Audio. Professional Sound, Lighting and Special Effects Brian Shaw uses only professional quality hardware and software for his performances. Where hardware and or software have not been available to meet his strict requirements, he has designed and built equipment and programming to suit his needs. Brian has also been known to prepare some of the most amazing special effects and pyrotechnics shows in the area. Theatrical Performances Brian Shaw aided in the plan, design, construction and performances for the CCV ("Community College of Vermont") floats in the Rutland, VT Halloween Parade 2007 - 2009. The Rutland Halloween Parade is the largest and longest running Halloween parade in the United States and has been the setting for various comic book adventures. Stage Performances Since 1998 Brian Shaw has provided only the best audio, equipment, special effects lighting and final mixing for past broadway performer Gail Lang (Director: All About Dance at Grand Performance Studio). Audio, Mastering and Live Sound Engineering Along with live performances, Brian Shaw has also mastered a number of CD singles and full albums for various artists on the east coast and abroad. Wedding Ceremonies In May of 2006 Brian Shaw became a reverend with the ULC and has been performing wedding ceremonies for couples in his area. Screen Acting In the year 2000 Brian Shaw made his first appearance in the movie Radical Jack. As the movie begins you see Brian Shaw "a truck driver" sitting next to lead actor Billy Ray Cyrus (Jack Reynolds) as a fight ensues between Jack and two federal agents. He also appeared towards the end of the movie as a bystander watching Jack get beaten in the parking lot of a local bar. In 2004 Brian Shaw made his second appearance in the movie Buried Alive (Landslide) where he was on set with Baywatch actress, Alexandra Paul and Nash Bridges actor Jaime Gomez. The character he was playing had been killed off in his first scene so Brian ended up playing various other roles ranging from construction worker to medical and rescue personnel. He was also able to have one of his daughters appear as an extra where he rescued her from the debris and put her into the back of an ambulance. Brian Shaw then appeared in the movie Pillar of Light: The Work and The Glory 2004 as an 1800's farm boy tending the fields with his father where they met the Smith brothers. This movie was Mormon cinema's 2nd largest box office hit and was the second Latter-day Saints film to top 3 million in theaters. The most recent movie Brian Shaw appeared in was Bereft, a Showtime Exclusive that was released in 2004. Brian was on set with lead actress Vinessa Shaw (Molly) and Patrick Burleigh (Joel) where he played the role of a man she confused with her late husband.
