The Taste of Cambridge transforms University Park Common and Sidney Street into a Lush Haven for Gastronomical Exploration and Gustatory Indulgences of the highest order! Each year foodies descend upon the Taste of Cambridge to sample the delicious, creative, healthy and award-winning cuisine found in every square inch that comprises our fine and notable food-loving City! Our event is one of the great food sampling experiences in the region featuring 100+ local restaurants and local specialty butcher, cheese, honey, wine, beer, specialty drinks and coffee purveyors. Feel good for doing a great amount of good by buying a ticket to this benefit event and enjoy eat great foods in our gorgeous landscaped courtyard, featuring café seating, beer and wine gardens, celebrity DJ’s, live bands, and an opportunity to meet the non-profits who benefit directly from this exciting event. Each “Adult” ticket to the Taste of Cambridge includes four glasses of beer or wine from our beer gardens featuring Amstel, Harpoon, John Harvard’s Brew House, and a variety of other specially chosen beers and wines. The Taste of Cambridge (TOC), founded by the Cambridge License Advisory Board (CLAB), is produced by a dedicated CLAB volunteers. CLAB works year-round to prevent underage drinking and to educate and support liquor license holders in their efforts to prohibit sales to minors. The TOC, in addition to being an extraordinary gastronomic experience is also a charitable event! Our participating restaurants, sponsors, and volunteers present the best “Taste of” event to provide financial support to our beneficiaries!

The campus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology is located on a 168acre tract in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States. The campus spans approximately one mile (1.6 km) of the north side of the Charles River basin directly opposite the Back Bay neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts.The campus includes dozens of buildings representing diverse architectural styles and shifting campus priorities over MIT's history. MIT's architectural history can be broadly split into four eras: the Boston campus, the new Cambridge campus before World War II, the "Cold War" development, and post-Cold War buildings. Each era was marked by distinct builds representing neoclassical, modernist, brutalist, and deconstructivist styles which alternatively represent a commitment to utilitarian minimalism and embellished exuberance.Campus organizationThe geographical organization of the MIT campus is much easier to understand by referring to the MIT map, in online interactive, or downloadable printable form. There is also an MIT Accessibility Campus Map available for download, which is useful for mobility-impaired visitors.Buildings 1–10 (excepting 9) were the original main campus, with Building 10, the location of the Great Dome, designed to be the ceremonial main entrance. The actual street entrance leads from 77 Massachusetts Avenue into the lobby of Building 7, at the western end of the "Infinite Corridor", which forms the east-west axis of the main group of buildings. Buildings 1–8 are arranged symmetrically around Building 10, with odd-numbered buildings to the west and even-numbered buildings to the east. In general, higher numbers are assigned to buildings as distance from the center of campus increases.
The Hart Nautical Gallery is a gallery in the MIT Museum at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States.The original Francis Russell Hart Nautical Museum was established in 1922 at MIT as part of the Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. It was incorporated into the MIT Museum in 1982.William A. Baker, a maritime historian, was curator of the museum from 1963 until his death in 1981. The collections include construction drawings of the Doris sailing yacht, designer William Hand’s surviving drawings, and material relating to shipbuilder Jacob Aaron Westervelt.
The MIT Chapel is a non-denominational chapel designed by noted architect Eero Saarinen. It is located on the campus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts, next to Kresge Auditorium and Kresge Oval, which Saarinen also designed. Though a small building, the Chapel is often noted as a successful example of mid-Century modern architecture in the US. Saarinen also designed the landscaping surrounding all three.Leland M. Roth included the building in his History of American Architecture, using it to illustrate the contrast between Saarinen's approach and that of Mies van der Rohe . Roth said that "through the sheer manipulation of light and the its focus on a blazingly white marble altar block, Saarinen created a place of mystic quiet."From the outside, the chapel is a simple, windowless brick cylinder set inside a very shallow concrete moat. It is 50ft in diameter and 30ft high, and topped by an aluminum spire. The brick is supported by a series of low arches. Saarinen chose bricks that were rough and imperfect to create a textured effect. The whole is set in two groves of London Planetrees, with a long wall to the east, all designed by Saarinen. The wall and trees provide a uniform background for the chapel, and isolate the site from the noise and bustle of adjacent buildings.Within is an intimate space, stunning in its immediate visual impact. Windowless interior walls are undulating brick. Like a cascade of light, a full-height metal sculpture by Harry Bertoia glitters from the circular skylight down to a small, unadorned marble altar. Natural light filters upward from shallow slits in the walls catching rippling reflected light from the moat; this dim ambient light is complemented by artificial lighting. The chapel's curving spire and bell tower was designed by the sculptor Theodore Roszak and was added in 1956.
