Many of our dishes can be tailored to your dietary needs - made salt-free, fat-free, etc. Just ask! We serve absolutely nothing that contains refined sugar, bleached white flour, preservatives, colorings, or any other artificial ingredients in our food. We serve only the freshest grown vegetables and fruits. We only cook in stainless steel and iron pots, and only bake in tin and glass pans. This assures you that the nutrients will not be leached from your food, or you, via the utensils. We offer an eclectic menu from vegetarian, cajun/creole, steak, fresh seafood, and italian food. We have one of the best wine lists in the world (just ask Wine Spectator!)
The excellent presentation and exotic flavor of the food at Restaurante Azteca has to do with the fact that the chef honed his culinary skills at the prestigious Café Matisse before opening his own bistro here. The chef’s wife, Virginia, worked at Bagel Supreme in Rutherford for 15 years, and now handles this 32-seat BYO dining room and Mexican bistro. The Bistek Ala Mexicana is a favorite entrées on the menu for many of the patrons. It consists of 12-ounce juicy rib-eye steak cooked to your desire and served with grilled onions, tomatoes, jalepenos, and rice & beans. For fish and seafood lovers, your taste buds will be tantalized by the buttery and tender tilapia, or savor the Camarones Enchipotle (shrimp, chipotle sauce and rice & beans). Azteca is open for lunch and dinner and serves traditional tacos, burrtios, salads, quesadillas and much, much more to rave about!
