Ted's Market and Delicatessen swung open its doors in the "Summer of Love" in 1967, and they gladly remain open to greet you with a smile, a joke or a wise crack in keeping with our family tradition passed along by our gracious and hard working elders, Theodore and Penelope Zouzounis. The lovely and loving couple Theodore and Penelope Zouzounis, San Francisco natives and both hailing from Greek immigrants from Kalamata, created a South of Market treasure in a small, narrow and empty shell of a one story building (circa 1907) that sprouted after the ruins of the massive, unprecedented and tragic 1906 quake--WHEW boy was that was close. On one groundbreaking glorious July morning in the South of Market District Ted's began serving up delicious and wholesome food and selling whatever the shelves could hold to hungry and eager customers; and the doors are still wide open for your classic or trendy deli pleasures. SOMA has evolved into an interesting, bustling and quite eclectic hood, and we still see second,third and fourth generation people popping in to shop and share a unique story about Big Ted and Penny and the hood. The church was located on the second floor and offices and classrooms were located on the first floor. The founding religious order was the Sisters of the Holy Cross. The current church building was completed in 1917, and the second floor of the school building was converted to classrooms. The Commercial High School for girls existed on-site from 1913-1935. Two Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena joined the Holy Cross Sisters in 1972. In September 1975, the Holy Cross sisters withdrew completely after 81 years of service. In June 1982, after seven years of service, the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena were replaced by the Dominican Sisters of the Most Holy Rosary of the Philippines. The affiliation with the Dominican Sisters of the Most Holy Rosary are teachers.

JHess Studios is the teaching atelier of sculptress Alicia Ponzio and painter Justin Hess, with Justin’s personal working studio at its core. The Atelier system is a centuries-old tradition of training artists within the studio of an active professional artist, providing both a ‘classroom’ structure of education combined with the opportunity to work alongside with and learn from a professional artist. The studio itself offers 2,200 sqft of open studio space with light flooding in from large North and South facing windows. Housed in a historic building constructed in 1924, JHess Studios is located in the SOMA district of San Francisco and is easily accessible by major freeways as well as public transportation with plenty of parking in the surrounding neighborhood. Classes are held in the evenings and on weekends to better accommodate those with work, family and other personal commitments. As the skills involved take a great deal of time and practice to develop, students are welcome to take one or multiple classes in each session, or on an ongoing basis. Those who wish to replicate the curriculum similar to that of a full time academy, but without the full time commitment, are able to work with the instructors to design a suitable course of study tailored to their individual needs and schedule. Courses are offered quarterly throughout the year in Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Écorché and Anatomy, as well as week long workshops held regularly in January and the Summer.

City Dance Live is an online dance studio featuring classes taught by legends, leaders and rising stars in the global dance community. The site was created by Sandy Lee and Miles Pineda-Kenedi. Sandy is the owner of City Dance Studios in San Francisco and co-owner of Momentum Design and Photography. Miles is a renowned Bboy and a member of Renegade Rockers. He is also a popular Bboy instructor in the Bay Area. We have been working on this project since June of 2010 and we continue to try to improve it :) Our goal with City Dance Live is to provide a platform to connect our world class instructors with anyone, anywhere, anytime who wants to watch, learn and be entertained. Many or our classes are filmed at City Dance Studios in San Francisco and others are filmed on location across the globe. Another goal of this venture is to help the remarkable dancers in our global network make a better living from their art. Our instructors are the best in the world at what they do and we think they should be compensated better for reaching this level. We are starting with over 20 amazing instructors and we hope to open our site up to additional elite dancers and instructors as we build the business. Initially our instructors are mostly associated with hip hop and urban dance but In the future we will be adding classes by instructors from many other dance genres such as ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap etc. Stage Two of the project will involve bringing many of our classes to our students live. Safety Training Seminars provides American Heart Association CPR, ACLS, PALS, EMSA and First-aid certification classes in San Francisco, CA and in Concord, CA. We are able to teach CPR classes on site at a location or in our office. We also sell AEDs, defibrillators, and provide service and maintenance.
