With a vast product line that includes everything from an iconic, whistling teakettle to a designer fly swatter, the Alessi company, founded in 1921 by Giovanni Alessi, has long been at the forefront of innovative and inspired product design. The company has created a dynasty out of not only offering products geared towards the mainstream – serving trays and everyday cutlery among them – but by also creating some of the most celebrated cult objects of our time. Alessi has been able to develop a policy of design excellence which has made it one of the leading internationally renowned Italian Design Factories. It has reconciled its typically industrial needs with its tendency to consider itself as a 'research laboratory in the field of the applied arts'. Alessi is a proud member of Be Original Americas.
As service veterans of SF’s dining and cocktail culture and absolute experts in consumption, Tim & Ethan found treasure at the bottom of a recycling bin. They met in the early winter of 2012 mixing Singapore Slings and slinging Shaking Beef at the busiest restaurant in the state of California. One of them had been hoarding a garage full of empty bottles while the other had learned to tame the laser engraver at a local maker co-op, they found a mutual drive to recreate a relic of the past with modern day appeal. After a year of refining their concept they have managed to coordinate a community effort amongst the dining industry elite to reduce waste at a local level. Having saved thousands of bottles from the waste stream, Tim & Ethan strive to use reclaimed materials whenever possible including packaging from upcycled cardboard and even finally finding a use for the YELLOW PAGES (We use them for the final wipe down in place of new paper towels). We believe that sustainability doesn't have to compromise functionality nor deprive you of engaging aesthetics. Instead we've anchored ourselves to the concept by naming our future that is our company Reclamation Etchworks. Through a modest initial success fundraising through Kickstarter in the Spring of 2013, Reclamation Etchworks became a reality and purchased it's own laser engraver. Today we set out to reclaim and repurpose as many decanter sets as possible to help you build the foundation of an incredible home bar.

We are very committed to the artisan food community and to fostering the values of that community here at the Ferry Building. We envision the Ferry Building Marketplace as a vibrant gathering of local farmers, artisan producers, and independently owned and operated food businesses and the customers they serve. We are creating a community of like-minded people that will: - Showcase small regional producers that practice traditional farming or production techniques and who develop personal relationships with their customers. - Promote the Bay Area's vast ethnic diversity and serve and an incubator for artisan producers who are returning to sustainable methods of agriculture and production. - Provide a central location for the promotion of the world-class food and wine producing regions of Northern California and recognize wine's connection to our rich regional cuisine. - Collaborate with local transit authorities to build strong regional ties to the Ferry Building and support the revitalization of the San Francisco waterfront. - Operate as a community gathering-place for the celebration of local culture and cuisine.
