Sod Room is a unique and eco-friendly, indoor playspace located in the South Loop neighborhood of Chicago. Sod Room is committed to providing a healthy and meaningful play experience for children by utilizing only safe, sustainable and responsibly made toys and materials for its playspace. Sod Room features recycled cork flooring, low VOC paint, reclaimed wood and is uniquely designed to utilize as much natural light as possible. Beyond the playspace, Sod Room offers a multitude of workshops and classes to assist you in your quest to becoming a more eco-minded parent. Sod Room also features a retail boutique which offers local, organic, fair trade, and recycled products and gifts for children and parents as well as a private event space for parties. Welcome to Bravo Martial Arts (BMA). I am excited to now be able to offer the opportunity for group classes on the second floor of Phenomenal Fitness. I will be teaching a technical base program of the arts where my focus is to teach a higher level of martial arts.
St. Luke's Hospital, in Chicago, Illinois, is a former hospital. Its set of Gothic Revival style buildings, the St. Luke's Hospital Complex, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.The hospital eventually outgrew its original building, moved to a new location, and eventually became Rush University Medical Center, a major Chicago hospital. The original building has been redeveloped into condominiums.HistorySt. Luke’s Hospital was founded in 1864. The St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing was established in 1885. St. Luke’s merged with Presbyterian Hospital to form Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Hospital in 1956. Their nursing schools also united to create the Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing.In 1969, Rush Medical College reactivated its charter and merged with Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Hospital to form Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center. Rush University, which now includes colleges of medicine, nursing, health sciences and research training, was established in 1972. The institution officially changed its name in September 2003 to Rush University Medical Center.
