Gilmans Kitchens and Baths was formally Gilman Screens and Kitchens which was formally Gilman Screen Co. established in 1954 and taken over by the Lowenthal family in 1983. Kitchen cabinetry was added to the product mix in 1985. In 2010 Sean Lowenthal took over the Design Build division of the company. Gilmans Kitchens and Baths of San Francisco was fully remodeled in 2005-2006 with several updates already happening. With over 4000 square feet of showroom space this kitchen and bath store is one of the largest in San Francisco. Gilmans Kitchens and Baths of Mountain View was established in 1999 and has three kitchen designers with over 60 years of experience in kitchen design. Gilmans Kitchens and Baths of San Rafael was opened in 2005 in the Marin Home Center. The original location on un-Lucky drive was flooded out. We recently added Wood-Mode and Brookhaven cabinetry displays to our current displays from Dura Supreme, KitchenCraft and some newly remodeled DeWils cabinetry displays. Gilmans Kitchens and Baths Burlingame/San Mateo is the largest of our showrooms with over 5000 feet of display space. Opened in 2003, this is the fourth of our jewels. Anchored by kitchen designers Kathy Smith and Carole Hedstom, this team was joined by another Lowenthal family member CJ Lowenthal in 2012 with her 23 years of experience. The Burlingame store is the home of our window and door screen shop serving San Francisco and the Peninsula. We screen the impossible screen. There is no job to large or small. Gilmans Kitchens and Bath of Burlingame is home to Design Build Division where we take the drama out of remodeling.
