The Charles H. Kellstadt Graduate School of Business is part of the DePaul University Driehaus College of Business, a business school located in the Chicago Loop, Illinois, United States. The Fashion Resource Center maintains a unique hands-on collection of late twentieth and twenty-first century designer garments and accessories representative of extreme innovation. Its singular nature is defined not only by the visitor's ability to handle the apparel but also by the extensive visual, print, and fabric reference collection that support and illuminate the garments and the study of attire. These elements combine to provide students and guests with a creative and educational environment in which to explore the most progressive achievements in the world of dress and fashion. Meet the Fashion Resource Center Fan Club: Carmine Yijin Ro is a Korean Canadian grad student enrolled in Fashion, Body and Garment program in SAIC. She has great passion for Fashion and Art and is considering it as a field for her future career. Sarah hailing most recently from Knoxville, TN, is a senior in the Fiber and Material studies department. She has also been taking electives in Fashion to merge her interests in textile and garment design. Morgan is originally from the Bay Area, Califonia. Currently she is a second year student in the Sculpture Department and is interested in the connection between fashion and sculpture. Claire is originally from Colorado and chose to attend SAIC because of it's interdiciplinary approach to education. Currently she is a fourth year student working mostly in the Fashion and Fiber Departments. Claire is interested in making her own textiles, one-of-a-kind garments, and artworks that relates to and interacts with the body. Annie Au is Australian Cantonese, and grew up in Beijing. She is in the fashion department, but also interested in interior design and architecture. Travel has always been a large part of Annie's life, but apart from her interest in exploring other parts of the world, she plays volleyball and likes reading and watching things in the genre of medieval fantasy. Sin See is originally from Hong Kong, China, and is currently studying art in the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.She is always fascinated by the art of garments, and how the history of dress influences what we are wearing today. Founded in 1995, Creating Educated Consumers, Inc. (CEC) was conceived to educate consumers about personal finances. Personal finances encompasses everything from how money works to credit/debt management, loans, budgeting, investing, insurance and retirement just to name a few. These and many other areas CEC will help you master. CEC gives consumers the education necessary to thrive. Our lessons are linked to Common Core Curriculum standards. We provide programs for students, adults and educators. CEC is committed to providing financial literacy through education.
The College of Education is the professional education unit at Roosevelt University. Current enrollment is approximately 600 students. Approximately 38% of all COE students identify themselves ethnically as other than white. Programs and faculty in the college are organized into four areas: Educational Studies, New Deal Teacher Academy, Counseling & Human Services, and Language, Literacy & Leadership. The Educational Studies Program provides undergraduates with the knowledge and skills necessary for entry-level positions in child care agencies and other educational settings. Programs within the New Deal Teacher Academy focus on distinct stages of the PreK-12 learning process, and include undergraduate and graduate initial teacher licensure programs in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Special Education, and Music Education. The Secondary Education Program prepares teacher candidates in the areas of English, Social Studies (History), Math, Science (Biology and Chemistry), and Business. The College has two CACREP accredited counseling programs: Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling. Programs in Language, Literacy, and Leadership provide advanced professional development and endorsement to licensed teachers and other educational professionals. The Leadership Academy is the student leadership training and development component of the IIT family. We do this by offering: Fresh in the Ciity: Sets the stage for incoming students to get to know and love the incredible city of Chicago as they start there academic career at IIT. Sophomore Leadership Retreat: Aimed at developing leadership skills, teamwork, and strong sense of community among the sophomore class, this program offers a rewarding, fun-filled, reflective weekend that should not be missed! Leadership Seminars: A series of five intensive seminars offered each academic year. These are offered at no cost to students. Certificate in Leadership Studies: Obtain a certificate by completing 40 hours of academy sponsored events, including seminars and retreats. Scholarship: Each year, the Leadership Academy is able to offer full tuition scholarships to a select number of outstanding IIT students who demonstrate exceptional leadership ability and potential.
