Originating in the United States, the Relay For Life event has spread to 21 countries. Relay events are held in local communities, campus universities, military bases, and in cyberspace. Although the main objective of Relay is to raise money for cancer research and cancer patients, the event is held to spread cancer awareness, celebrate the lives of survivors, remember those who lost their lives to cancer, and unite a community in the fight against cancer!

GLCCNV members that are eligible for LGBT certification through NGLCC will have their NGLCC certification fees waived. Our "Breakfast and Business" are opportunities to learn how to grow your business and marketing. Our Breakfast and Business is held monthly on the second Tuesday of every month at The Gay and Lesbian Community Center hosted by The Bronze Cafe. Our Mix and Mingle after work mixers are held quarterly and different locations giving you a more relaxed atmosphere and opportunity to network over cocktails.

BVBW is the birth child of Psychology major-Rev Chontella Young-Ivy. The concept of BVBW is that women have the opportunity to come together and share their issues, stories and triumphs in order to gain insight into todays most sensitive issues. We will meet once a month and each time there will be a topic that is sensitive to todays women. Each women will be able to express themselves and have their voice heard for the purpose of empowering, inspiring, motivating and encouraging the woman both individualy and collectively as a whole. we will embark upon a jouney of healing the woman therfore gaining a new insight into how to overcome some of todays most senstive topics, i.e , sex, relationships, religion, spirituality, addictions, employment, business, family, children ect.
