Sandy Ross is the founder and pastor of Women of Excellence Ministries at Summit Christian Center in San Antonio, Texas. She is a dynamic teacher with an anointing to make the Word of God come alive to her audiences. Sandy is married to Randy, and they have faithfully served Summit Christian Center since 1984. They have three married daughters and nine grandchildren. The following ministries are offered under Women of Excellence Ministries: * B.R.U.N.C.H. - meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month, September through May, 10:00 AM in the Multi-Purpose Room and Main Sanctuary * Women of the Word - meets every Tuesday (except for the 2nd Tuesday of each month), September through May, 10:00 AM in the Multi-Purpose Room * Moms of Grace - meets the 3rd Thursday of every month, September through May, 10:00 AM in the Upper Cafe * Girlfriends - Meets the 1st Thursday of every month, 7:00 PM in the Student Activity Room * Prayer Shield - Meets every Tuesday before Women of the Word in the Prayer Room - 9:00-10:00 AM * Summer Bible Study - Meets six consecutive Tuesdays every summer, beginning in June, 10:00 AM in the Multi-Purpose Room * Table Talks - Meets over the course of four Tuesdays over the summer. Thank you for considering Summit Christian Learning Center for your Child’s Care and Education. Summit Christian Center’s purpose is to connect people with God and others, leading them to become fully devoted followers of Christ, who are expressing His life in their world. This purpose statement is the bedrock of our Children’s Ministry and our Learning Center. Our program is designed to nurture young children, and to stimulate their spiritual, physical, cognitive, and creative development, and to encourage positive self-esteem and social interaction. We serve children ages 6 weeks-Pre K. Children are placed in classrooms according to age range and projected Kindergarten entrance date. Summit Christian Learning Center programming begins September 3, 2013 and operates year round. Summer Programming will be available in 2014. NEISD school calendar and holidays will be observed, as well as 2 Scheduled Teacher in Service Training Days in Fall and Spring. Spaces will be assigned with required paperwork, payment of all fees and first month’s tuition. We are thrilled to announce that we will be using the A Beka curriculum for our Christian Learning Center. A Beka provides Christian schools with outstanding curriculum built on a foundation of academic excellence and Christian character training. Our curriculum is designed to meet the individual needs of each child in a warm and nurturing environment, emphasizing the building of autonomy and problem-solving abilities.
