We hope to stimulate a deeper sense of community by rooting our programs in compassion, social justice, and non-violence. Our History in St. Louis Plumbers Supply Company (PSC) was founded on Halloween, October 31, 1924 by Raymond A. Dubuque to serve and supply plumbing contractors around the greater St. Louis area. PSC has continued to be 100% family-owned for 4 generations since with Raymond A. Dubuque, Jr. serving from 1958-1974, John G.D. Dubuque from 1974-2011, and John G.D. Dubuque Jr. currently serving as President & CEO. In 1954, after several previous smaller locations, Plumbers Supply settled at 6135 Horton Place. In 1976, a 2nd branch store was added at Gravois Road and Loughborough Ave. Branch #3 (O'Fallon, MO) was built in 1983. The North County store (Branch #4) opened in 1989. The Kitchen and Bath Showroom (KBS) in Des Peres, MO was founded in 1990. PSC's O'Fallon, IL store (Branch #6) opened in 1995 and moved to it's present location in 1998. Branch #7 was opened in Washington, MO in 1998. Our Alton, IL branch was opened in 2008. In 2011, Plumbers Supply acquired Meyer Supply Co with branch locations in Cape Girardeau and Sikeston, Missouri along with a state-of-the-art bath showroom (Plumbing Haus) in Cape Girardeau.
Paper Patch is a unique stationery store established in 1986 by a husband and wife team working to create and print great stationery! The store has gone through many transitions and changed with the trends through the years. We always do our best to carry items that you will love and enjoy! Husband and wife team, Chris and Steve Tini, opened Sweet Be’s Candy & Gifts in 2002, providing the St.Louis area with a unique concept for a gift store. The shop is a treasure trove of assorted confections, gourmet chocolates, snack treats, retro candies, custom color M&M’s, Jelly Belly’s, adorable stuffed animals, personalized gifts, special candy bouquets and a variety of interesting and fun gifts. “We want this to be a one-stop shop where customers not only find just what they were looking for, but where they had fun doing it! We listen to our customers and work hard at finding items they will think are unique”, explains Chris. Sweet Be’s is “more than just a candy store” and offers items such as Jellycat stuffed plush, Uglydolls, Webkinz, pamper yourself products, Demdaco Willow Tree collectibles, Coton Color Pottery, and Embellish Your Story Magnetic Collection. Customers are also able to choose from pre-made gift baskets and candy bouquets or they can mix and match candies, novelties and gift items to create custom baskets and bouquets. This family business is backed with many years of experience. Steve previously owned another candy business and was a candy buyer for over twenty-five years. In her former career, Chris was an operations manager, director of quality control, training and customer service. The Tini and Puchel clan are a close-knit family and their daughters Kristen, Stef and Mandy have become full-time employees managing the Website, helping in the store, and creating new and fun ideas. This feeling of family, kindness and fun is the essence of Sweet Be’s Candy & Gifts. The name of the store comes from Steve’s nickname for Chris, “BE” which stands for Blue Eyes. This fit perfectly with their bumblebee theme and hence the name “Sweet Be’s” was born!
