The Henry W. Maier Festival Park, also known either as the Henry Maier Festival Grounds or as the Summerfest Grounds, is a festival park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in the United States.
Riverside Theater is a concert hall located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The venue seats 2,460 people and hosts many different musical artists and shows. It is leased by the Pabst Theater Foundation.HistoryThe building, which opened in 1928, was designed by local architects Charles Kirchoff and Thomas Rose, who designed many theaters, including the Palace Theater in New York City. The theater underwent major renovations in 1984.
Constructed in 1882 and dedicated in 1883, Turner Hall is a unique four-story, multi-use facility owned by the Milwaukee Turners. The Hall is constructed of Milwaukee’s characteristic cream city brick. Complete with gymnasium (which features the largest climbing wall and bouldering cave in downtown Milwaukee), restaurant/beer hall (currently being renovated), Gestern Hall (the site of MPTV-produced social issues show 4th St. Forum), and a modern two-story ballroom (operated by the Pabst Theater), Turner Hall continues to house events and activities that promote the development of both a sound mind and a sound body. Turner Hall is the only building in Milwaukee that currently holds the three following honorary architectural and historical designations: a National Landmark, a listing on the National Registry of Historic Places, and a local Historical Landmark.
Jazz in the Park is Milwaukee's favorite free, outdoor, summer music series and features an eclectic lineup of jazz, funk, R & B, reggae, blues and many styles in-between. Bands ranging from The Blind Boys of Alabama to local favorites the Eddie Butts Band have graced the Cathedral Square Stage as part of Jazz in the Park. This free concert features the best bands from the city, region and across the nation! Concerts take place Thursday evenings, 6pm-9pm from June 2 through September 1, in Cathedral Square Park. Kick off your weekend early with a free concert in a beautiful outdoor setting in the heart of Downtown Milwaukee. The Marcus Amphitheater - a 23,000 seat venue with spectacular views of Lake Michigan and the Milwaukee skyline, is host to the music industry's hottest music superstars during the 11 days of Summerfest, and throughout the rest of the summer.
The Todd Wehr Conference Center is located at the southwest corner of Broadway and Highland Street. The Center is used for seminars, conferences, meetings and guest lectures, bands and other entertainment. The outer lobby features a reception area and small auxiliary conference room that seats twelve.
